Heatwave

Louis' point of view

"Sir I'm hot." I heard one of my students say and I looked up from where I was fanning myself with a book.

"I know Zack I am too." I said as this was just ridiculous. No one in my class was able to focus and this was only day one of this heatwave the U.K. was apparently going to be hit with for the next week and a half. And to make matters even worse it was only Monday.

"Sir can we go outside and sit in the shade surely that has to be cooler than in here." Someone else asked and I just nodded.

"Yeah lets give it a go, grab your maths books and we're do maths outside."

"Do we have to do maths we've already done it once today?"

"I'm afraid so your SATs are next week so I'm sorry but we need to be prepared for them." I said and I heard them all sigh but they started collecting their stuff.

"Alright guys you can go on out head for the big tree and sit down their." I said and they all began heading out before I followed locking my classroom door on the way out.

"Oh Louis I was just coming to get you." I heard Rachel say and I turned to look at her.

"Why?" I asked.

"Niall's feeling sick, I'm pretty sure it's the heat as my classroom is like a sauna as the suns on it but he doesn't look great." She said and I sighed.

"I've tried moving him to the other side of the classroom so he's out of the sun and he's drank loads of water but he says he's still feeling sick I don't know what you want me to do. Do you want me to keep him with me and hope it passes or do you want him with you? He is asking for you."

"I better take him if he's feeling sick plus I'm going outside with my lot so it might help him to get some fresh air." I said following Rachel into her classroom which as she claimed was like a sauna and I thought my classroom was hot.

"He's over their." She said pointing my eldest out who had his head on the table. I thanked her and walked over to Niall avoiding the other kids who were looking at me and then tapped Niall's shoulder. When he looked up I knew it was the heat bothering him as his cheeks were bright red and he had beads of sweat on his forehead.

"You Alright Love?" I asked kneeling down after looking out the window checking my class had done what I'd told them to do, which they had to my surprise. Saying that they were probably too hot to do anything but sit around.

"Hot and I feel sick." Niall whimpered and I nodded feeling his forehead and cheeks which were boiling.

"Do you want to come with me as I think your feeling sick because it's so hot in here, I'm outside with my class so it should be cooler." I said brushing his sweaty hair off his forehead and Niall nodded.

"Alright come on then grab your water bottle and let's go." I said and Niall slowly stood up, grabbing his water bottle before he waved at Ashton and followed me out the classroom after I thanked Rachel.

"Do you think your going to be sick?" I asked Niall as we went downstairs.

"I don't think so." He mumbled and I nodded opening the door at the bottom of the stairs and headed outside with Niall where my class were still sat under a tree well apart from 2 boys.

"Tyler, Max sit down right now." I shouted making Niall jump.

"Sorry baby." I said softly as we made are way to the tree and sat down Niall sitting next to me and curling into my side. At least he no longer had crutches so he could be more mobile.
