Stormy night

Louis' point of view

The warm weather was all very well when it lasted however their was only one way that it ended and that was normally with a bang. Or many.

I had never been a fan of storms myself and me and Liam had no idea how the boys would be around them. But we were going to find out tonight as we were apparently going to be hit by a huge storm with a lot of rain.

We decided that it would probably be best if we put the boys to bed on the early side as then we had more chance of them not waking as they would be in a deeper sleep and if they did wake then they would have had at least 6 hours sleep or 5 hours sleep as the storm wasn't due to hit until 1 in the morning.

When both boys were asleep I went and cuddled on the sofa with Liam and we started to watch a film.

'I know you don't really like storms but I need you to be brave tonight if the boys do wake up. You need to remember that it can't hurt you and you need to show that to Niall and Harry. If they see that your scared then they will become even worse.'

'I'll try my hardest Li but I can't promise anything as it's a fear that I can't control. Like your fear of clowns.'

'I know baby and try is all I'm asking you to do.'

I nodded and curled into him and by the time the movie had finished the rain and wind had already hit.

'Come on love let's go to bed, I don't think it's going to be much longer until the thunder and lightening start.'

I nodded and lifted my hands up to Liam.

'And you call me the 3rd child. Come on you big kid.' Liam said as he chuckled although he did give in to me when I did my puppy dog eyes.

'You really need to stop using those eyes Lou the boys are starting to pick up on it.'

'Why should I stop when it gets me what I want and the boys just use it to their advantage. And all you have to do is say no.' I explained as I rested my head on Liam's shoulder.

'You know I can't do that.' Liam said as he placed me down on the bed.

I instantly cuddled under the duvet while I watched Liam get changed as he was to lazy earlier.

'Get some sleep Lou we'll probably going to need it when we can.'

'True.'

He then climbed into bed and he curled into me and it wasn't long until he started snoring. I turned the light out and then sleep took over me as well.

I was woken up by loud sobs coming from one of the boys rooms at 2 in the morning and I could hear the storm raging outside. Clearly one of the boys didn't like storms either. However much I wanted to just curl back into Liam for safety I knew that one of the boys must have been terrified.

I left the room quietly although I don't know why as the storm was so loud and made my way to the room next door where the loud sobs were coming from. When I opened the door my heart broke. Harry was curled into a tight ball shaking and clutching his soft toy so hard I thought his head was going to fall off.

I quickly went over to him and although the night light didn't provide much light it was enough to see he was truly terrified.

'Aw baby come here.'

He instantly jumped into my lap once I had sat down and all I could do was rub his back and assure him everything would be fine. Although that was quite tricky with the loud noises of the thunder outside.
