*Chris's POV*

It's Christmas Eve, and I'm spending the day at home with my mom and sister. I miss Kamaal so much it's ridiculous. If we're not texting, we're on the phone, if we're not on the phone, we're skyping, if we're not skyping, we're tweeting. We grow closer and build a bigger connection every day. Can I say I'm in love??? Ehhh not yet. My mom, my sister and I are in the kitchen baking Christmas cookies. My aunt, uncle, and cousins were coming over later. As my mom puts the first round of cookies in the ovens, Ashley and I are sitting at the table sneaking cookie dough.

"Chris, make sure these cookies don't burn, and-"

My mom stops in the middle of her sentence and sees Ashley and I eating the cookie dough. I look at Ashley, and she's still stuffing her face with cookie dough.

"If y'all don't stop eating all my cookie dough....y'all asses arr gonna get sick. Chris take her upstairs and get her cleaned up."

I take Ashley upstairs and wash her hands and face. It's so adorable how she has dried up cookie dough all over her shirt, cheeks and hands. After I get finished washing her up, there's a knock at the door.

"Uncle Darrell and Aunt Renee!!!" Ashley yells as she runs out the bathroom to greet my aunt and uncle.

I say hi to my aunt and uncle and my younger cousins. I take the cookies out the oven, and the kids decorate them. The day goes on with more family coming by, Christmas carols, and last but not least, the Christmas dinner. Myra comes by every year just to get herself a plate.

"Myra, why do you come over here every year and eat all my food?

"Well, my mom doesn't cook on Christmas, and I already see y'all as my family anyway." She says as she looks through the pots on the stove

"Nice save...next year, you contribute to the meal."

"You said the same thing 2 years ago. I contribute my appetite." Myra says as she steals a biscuit

"Girl"

Myra gets up and runs while mom chases her around the house. This is a tradition for them every year. Myra comes over and eats, mom starts buggin, they argue, they run, the same thing happens next year. The rest of the night goes by and the family gathers around in the living room drinking hot chocolate and watching Charlie Brown. At midnight everyone leaves. My mom says goodbye to everyone and Myra tries to sneak out. She grabs Myra by her shoulder and pulls her back in the house.

"Oh hell no honey. You think you're  gonna eat up all my food and sneak your lil ass out? Get in that kitchen and help Chris clean it.

"But I gotta get home and-"

"No ma'am....Chris will drive you home when y'all finish." My mom says as she points toward the kitchen

Myra rolls her eyes and I laugh my ass off at her. We head in the kitchen, and start cleaning.

"Sooo, what did Kamaal get you?" Myra ask me as she places a pot in the dishwasher.

"I don't know yet, I haven't opened it yet."

"What do you mean you haven't open it yet?"

"He told me to wait until Christmas morning to open it." I tell her as I start the dishwasher

"Awww how sweet"

We continue talking, laughing, and playing around, and we finish cleaning the kitchen. We head to my car so I could take her home. I pull up to her house, and she stops me before I pull off.

"Wait, I have something for you."

Myra runs in her house, and comes out with a gold and white wrapped present.
