Chapter 40: Game On (Part II)
*Trey's POV*

After hanging up the phone on Jamal's ass, I get myself together by taking a few deep breaths. I pace Chris's porch back and forth wondering how am I gonna tell them I've been with Jamal. After figuring things out, I make way back in the house. Chris and Myra are going back and forth arguing over the game as I take my seat.

"Myra, I'm gonna ask you one more time to put back the $500 bill that you took from the bank."

"Chris I have no idea what your talking about."

"So you mean to tell me you didn't reach over and take $500 while I was moving my piece?"

"Chris, you are really on some other shit" Myra saysas she laughs

"Myra, go ahead and put that money back so we can move on."

'Ugh, fine."

Myra stands up and grabs the $500 bill she was sitting on.

"Check her pockets, she's probably got more!''

"Shutup Trey. Y'all never let a bitch have any fun."

"See this is why I don't play board games with y'all asses. Y'all play too damn much"

We continue playing, joking around, and arguing some more. Part of me wants to tell them, but I just can't find any courage to do it.

*Myra's POV*

Chris is such a damn party pooper. So I stole a few dollars out the bank? I don't call it cheating, I call it a come up. After going around the board a few times I look at my watch.

'Y'all we should get ready to go. I have to meet the squad soon."

"You're right, but what about the game?" Chris asks

"Bitch I win by default, the hell you think?"

Hell nah heifer...ain't no way!"

"First of all Trey, all you have is 2 Railroads, a utility, and four of the lowest properties. I own the majority of the board. So who runs the world? Myra....now lets go."

'I'll go get my stuff and we can go get ready at your house Myra."

Chris runs upstairs to get his clothes, while Trey and I put the game away.

"So how did things go with your friend?"

"Oh um, things are going good with him."

"Ok that's good. How is he doing?"

'He's cool now. I'm glad he finally built the courage to leave."

"Cool. So other than your friend, how are you doing?"

'What you mean?" Trey asks as he folds up the board

"Is everything alright with you Trey. Is there anything on your mind you wanna talk about?"

"Not at the moment.''

"Ok boo, you know if you need to talk about anything, no matter how bad it is, I'm here for you. Emphasis on anything."

I'm trying to get Trey to tell a bitch what's really going on with him. I love Trey like a brother, but I don't like the fact that he doesn't open up enough. He always feels like he has to have this wall up, and it's like pulling teeth to get him to open up. I give Trey a look, and I have a feeling he's gonna tell me something.

"Look, things are really complicated and-"

"Aight y'all lets go!"

Chris grabs his keys, we grab our materials and head out the door.
