Chapter 60: Birthday Surprise (Finale Part II)

*Chris's POV*

I wake up the next morning to Ashley jumping up and down on my bed. 

"Happy birthday Chrrris!"

"Awww, thank you!!! Come here, munchkin."

Ashley jumps in my arms and gives me the biggest hug ever. 

"Chris, get up! I have something to show you!"

I get out of bed, as Ashley grabs my hand and pulls me out my room. Why is she more excited than I am?

"Chris, hurry up. You're walking to slow!"

She leads me to the living room and I see half blown balloons, and her tea party table setup. 

"Sit down Chris!"

I sit on one of the tiny seats as Ashley runs in the kitchen. She comes out with a Hostess cupcake on a plate in one hand, and something else in her other hand.

"Happy birthday Chris. I wanted to make you a cake, but mommy won't let me."

"What's that in your other hand?"

"Oh, I made you a card!"

Ashley hands me the card made out of red construction paper, glitter, crayons, and stickers. I look at the card and it says "happy Birthday, I luv you". I look to the right side of the card and see she drew two people. 

"Who's this, munchkin?"

"Thats me, and that's you silly."

"Awww, well this is a nice picture. It looks just like me."

I hug Ashely as we sit at her table eating out cupcakes. Pretty soon my mom comes in the living room. 

"Chris, happy birthday! You're growing up so fast!"

"Thanks mom..."

"So what do you have planned for today?"

"I don't have anything planned. I asked Trey and Myra if they were gonna be busy, but they all have something to do today."

"Aww, well hopefully Romeo comes over."

"I hope so too."

"Well if not, then we'll go to your favorite place to eat. How does that sound?"

"Sounds good."

"I'm gonna go to the store right quick. Do you wanna come?"

"Nah, I think I'll chill here for a moment."

"Ok, Ashley and I will be back in a few hours then."

"Ok mom."

Mom and Ashley walk out the house and now I'm by myself. I look at my phone and open up the Facebook app. I have a few notifications, but they're only birthday posts from people I barely know. I look through my phone, and none of my close friends texted me. I go to my room and watch tv. Eventually I fall asleep. Hours go by and before I know it, it's already 4:30. I look out my window and see that mom and Ashley still aren't home yet. My phone rings and see its Kamaal calling me. I pick up the phone immediately. 

"Hey baby..."

"Wassup lil buddy?"

"Nothin just watchin tv."

"Whats wrong? You sound disappointed." He asks me

"Oh nah, I'm fine I'm just bored."

"Oh, well get yourself cleaned up. I'm taking you out."
