Chapter 2: Annoying

Ice Alvarez

"I don't get you Ice."

I turned to Jason," Huh?"

"Ang cute cute kaya ni Aliyah, tapos inaayawan mo pa. Di mo ba alam na madaming naghahabol dun ? Crush ko nga yun eh."

"So?" bored kong reply sabay kagat sa sandwich ko. Akala ko naman kung ano ng tinutukoy niya.

"Anlabo mo pare," he replied.

"Di ka pa nasanay jan kay Ice. Eh talagang wala siyang pagnanasa kay Aya. Come to think of it, parang wala naman talaga syang pagnanasa sa kung sino man na babae dito eh," pagsingit ni Paul- also one of my classmates.

"Ice wag mong sabihing bakla ka?" lumaki naman yung mga mata nung ugok na Jason.

"Asshole. Anong bakla? You want me to beat your bare ass face?" my eyebrows furrowed.

"Chill," tumawa siya. "Curious lang ako.Kung di ka bakla, ba't mo nilalayuan si Aya? Qtp2t kaya yun pare, inaayawan mo pa. Kahit sinong lalake kakagat na dun eh."

"If you're just gonna talk about this kind of shits all day long, better not talk to me at all," I said jadedly as I finish off my sandwich.

"Bitch," he spat the word to my face.

"Fucker," balik ko sakanya.

Tumawa naman siya at pabirong sinuntok yung balikat ko. I just shook my head and smirked. Our conversations would always end up with us cussing each other. My friends are such a-holes.

I felt Paul nudging me,"And speaking of Aliyah," he grinned while looking straight ahead. Tumingin din ako at nakita ko si Ikeuchi na papasok ng cafeteria. May dala syang lunchbox at palinga linga sya sa paligid. Then she flits her gaze to us and she beamed as soon as she saw me,"Iiiiiiiiicceeeee!" she waved like a kid.

 Nice. May distorbo na naman. Tss.

I just avoided her gaze then frowned.

"Ice! Ice!," she ran like a complete fraud towards us.

"Anu na naman kailangan mo?" I said irked not even bothering to look at her.

"Kanina pa kita hinahanap. Eto oh, I brought you lunch," she offered her lunchbox. I just stared at it unamazed then I looked at her with the same unamused face.

"Nakita mo naman na kumakain na ko dba?"

"Pero kasiii," she pouted while looking down on her feet. "I've prepared this for you. Pinaghirapan ko to lutuin eh," she puffed her cheeks.

"Ano bang niluto mo Aya?" Jason then asked.

Ikeuchi beamed by the thought of someone being interested in her cooking and she excitedly opened the lunchbox at proud na proud na pinakita kay Jason.

Jason then laughed awkwardly,"Hmm. Mukha ngang masarap. Hehe."

I looked at him with disbelief. Then I just rolled my eyes, fixed my things and went off my feet.

I picked my bag. I was about to turn away but then Ikeuchi stopped me."Ice, san ka pupunta? Kainin mo muna to oh. Magrice ka naman kesa sa sandwich lang kinakain mo. Saka paborito mo ang adobo dba?"

"Oo. Eh ano naman ngayon?"

"Ba't di mo kainin to?"

I looked at her with an are-you-kidding-me-look. "At kailan pa naging adobo yang sunog mong mga hotdog?"

May sapak talaga sya sa ulo.No doubt.

She giggled as a reply,"Edi bukas nalang kita ipagluluto ng adobo. In the meantime kainin mo muna to."

"Are you trying to kill me with that?"

"Ice naman eh, syempre hindi. Labs na labs kita hindi kita kayang patayin," nagbeautiful eyes sya.

I think I wanna puke.

"Aalis na ako," I sternly said then I turned away.

"San ka pupunta?" hinabol nya naman ako.

"Leave me alone," I uttered more like ordering her to.

"Na-ah,"umiling iling sya.

"You're so annoying." My forehead creased.

"'And you're so cute," she chuckled.

Nahilamos ko naman ng di oras ang pagmumukha ko. "Just--"

I ended up just sighing out of complete annoyance."Just stay here. Don't follow me. Tumayo ka lang jan at magkunwaring maluwag ang turnilyo sa utak okay?"

"Ice naman eh," she ended up pouting.

"May gagawin pa ako. Kaya pwede bang tantanan mo na'ko?"

"Edi tutulungan kita!" she persistently said.

Nasapo ko yung noo ko. She's seriously getting on my nerves.

"Anu bang pwede kong gawin para layuan mo na'ko ha?" kahit labag sa loob ko. Tss. May kailangan pa kasi akong gawin sa lab. At di ko yun magagawa kung buntot sya ng buntot sakin.

"Ihatid mo ako pauwi mamaya." she grinned widely and made a peace sign, her eyes disappearing out of too much chinkiness.

"Are you kidding me?" I blurted.

"Nope," straight nyang sagot. "Basta ihahatid mo ako mamaya. Wag ka ng umangal ha? ha? ha?" she giggled then she waved,"Babye! Basta mamaya ha!" she kept waving while she walked into the crowd of students in the cafeteria.

I just shook my head while I watch her getting swallowed by the crowd until she was completely out of sight.
