Paige's POV

For the past month and a half everything has been boring. I don't think you would of wanted to hear about it. I've skipped to the middle of may, right before we graduate.

"Only a few days left." I said.

"What?" Zack asked.

"She means a few days until we graduate, dumbass." Maddie laughed.

"Language!" Nia said.

"Sorry."

Here we all are, it's Monday. We graduate this Friday. This is one of our last days we meet up at the bus stop every morning. This is one of the last days we will all be high schoolers.

It's Monday, nobody cares about Monday. I'm wearing black sweats with the word love on the leg, an ALDC shirt, and blue vans. Every body is wearing something like that, except for Chloe, she always dresses nice because she's the President.

"Chloe, since you're the president, do you have to do the speech thingy at graduate?" I asked.

"Yes! I'm so excited!" She replied.

"Why do girls love doing that stuff?" Brayden asked.

"Not all girls." Maddie replied. "Me and Paige don't-"

"Paige and I!" I corrected her.

"Whatever, Ms. English teacher!"

"I ain't no English teacher." I joked.

"You should be one." Maddie giggled.

"Nah, to much work and school." I joked again.

"Well, you could be that or you could be like an astronomer or an astronaut or-"

"Maddie! I don't want to be an astronaut." I giggled.

"Guys, stop arguing, the bus is here." Zack said.

"What's wrong, Mr. Grumpy?" I asked as I poked Zack in the stomach.

"Nothing."

"Okay. Sit with me?"

"Nah, sit with your friends."

"Are you sure?" I asked.

"Yeah."

"Okay." I smiled before sitting by myself near my friends.

"Hey, I heard there's a new kid!" Nia said.

"Yeah, but I heard he's already been here!" Maddie said.

"Yep, I heard he was expelled and he's coming back." Brayden said.

"Chloe, do you know who he is?"

"Yeah." She replied.

"Who?" Maddie asked.

"Um, you'll see for yourself. He rides this bus."

Oh no. Expelled? Coming back? Chloe's freaking out inside, I can tell. This can only mean one thing. He's back. But how? He was expelled.

There he is, walking up the steps. His dark hair and light eyes. His light, evil eyes. His tall, muscular body. His ripped shirt and baggy jeans, it's Monday! There he is, Joey fertel.

"Is that Joey?" Maddie asked.

"Yep." I gulped.

"Dude, there's nowhere to sit." He said to the bus driver.

"Yes there is. Just look."

Oh no. Please don't see me with my empty seat. I motioned towards Maddie to sit next to me but she refused.

"Back there, with the blonde." He said. Crap.

"Whatever." Joey replied.

He slowly walked towards my seat. I almost bounced up to sit somewhere else but I couldn't, I was frozen in fear. He bullied me for four years.

"Hey, I'm Joe. What's your name?" Joe? What happened to Joey?

"Um, P-Paige."

"Paige?" He studied me closely, "You mean P- Oh my gosh! Paige Hyland?" He asked.

"Y-yeah."

"Do you remember me? Joey Fertel?"

"Yes, I remember."

"Holy crap, you've change! No more glasses?"

"Contacts."

"Braces?"

"Got em off."

"Wow, you're not nerdy anymore! You're actually pretty!"

"T-thanks."

"You're not pretty, you're freaking beautiful, holy crap. You're like ten times prettier than Kendall. Wow."

"Hey! Back off, Joey." Zack snapped as he walked down to our seat.

"Don't tell me." He laughed. "Zack?"

"Yeah, that's me."

"How are you, man?"

"Doesn't matter. Back up off of Paige now!"

"Whoa, dude, calm your tits."

"Look, Joey, I-"

"It's not Joey anymore, it's Joe!"

"Whatever, Joe! I heard what you were saying to her, if you hit on my girlfriend again, I'll-"

"Whoa! Girlfriend? Since when? I knew you had a crush but girlfriend?"

"Yes, girlfriend. Since tenth grade. Now go."

"Hey! Don't get snappy with me. Give me your attitude again and I'll have to beat you up, again." He left.

"Beat me up?" Zack scoffed. "Beat-"

"Zack, calm down." I grabbed his shoulder and sat him down.

"He thinks he beat me up!" He laughed.

"We all know you did, it's okay."

"Whatever."
