You don't have to reiterate
What is already running through
My mind in a vicious cycle

Deepening the cut so it
Would not heal for a long time

I saw through all the pretenses
And plaster walls you put up
But I merely saw through it
For I hadn't demolished it

I guess I thought
I thought too badly of you

But I had to learn the hard way
To trust my instincts
