...I guess I'm just going to go right into it.

Maya sighed as she blew a piece of her hair out of her face. She slammed her books down on her desk in frustration. It was the second week of her first year in college and she hated it. She was already up to her nose in school work and although Simon was an amazing help in her math, she still had other subjects that she was struggling with. Ones that weren't exactly Simons strong suit. Leaving her to still struggle in her schoolwork. Suddenly there was a knock on her door. Maya let out a groan and opened the door to see Lucas on the other side."Why!" Maya yelled out as she walked back into her room leaving the door opened for him. Lucas chuckled as he came through the door and closed it.
"I was just looking for Riley. She told me to meet her here at six." Lucas spoke as he sat down on one of the girls bed facing her. Maya looked at her watch confused.
"But it's only five forty five." Maya spoke and Lucas nodded.
"I wanted to talk to you." Lucas spoke with seriousness. Maya nodded her head for him to continue. "What's going on with you and Simon Walkers?" He asked Maya looked at him shocked.
"What are you talking about, Lucas. Nothing's going on between us." Maya stated as she swung herself back and forth on her chair. Lucas scoffed and shook his head.
"Common Maya, everyone is talking about it. You two at the party and outside studding together. there are some people already saying you guys are together." Lucas explained. maya scoffed and looked at him like he was crazy.
"That's just ridiculous." Maya laughed as Lucas looked at her like she was crazy.
"Maya you two were seen holding hands, sitting really close to each other on campus, he's helping you with your math homework!" Lucas raised his voice like he always does when he is trying to make a point. Maya rolled her eyes.
"So a guy is willing to help a girl with her homework and now there's something going on?!" Maya yelled/asked. Lucas just nodded his head.
"Take it from me Maya. A guy does not help out a pretty girl with her homework and life problems without him having some kind of feelings for her." Lucas said Maya shook her head.
"Lucas, Simon is just trying to help me with everything that I am going through. He's being a great friend." Maya argued as she got up from her desk.
"Is this about making a new friend or is this about trying to movie on from Josh?" Lucas asked bluntly making Maya glare at him.
"You don't know anything." Maya snapped at him. But not because Lucas was way out of line and was assuming things, but because he was right.
"Maya, I understand that Josh hurt you but you can't use Simon to get over him." Lucas explained.
"I'm not using him Lucas I would never do that!" Lucas gave her a pointed look. Maya sighed and gave up. "Okay look. I'm not using him. He's been such a great friend since we've been here at NYU. It's just nice to have someone to talk too." Maya stated as she sat back down on her chair.
"And we can't be that for you?" Lucas asked. Maya sighed.
"You guys try to get involved. You guys don't truly understand what I feel. Riley was the only one that understood what I went through with Josh and even she is trying to fix things between us. I just want to forget about Josh. I want to forget about my feelings for him and I want to move on but I can't do that if you guys are constantly getting in the way. Simon has been actually helping me." Maya replied getting her point across to Lucas. "I just don't want to get hurt again." Lucas looked at her sympathetically. Just as he was about to speak up and say something Riley entered the room.
"Oh hey Lucas! You're early!" Riley exclaimed as she went over to him and kissed him as he stood up.
"Yeah. I was just talking to Maya." Lucas said with a fake smile. Maya looked away so Riley couldn't tell she was upset by the look on her face.
"Okay well we should get going. I'll be home kind of late Maya so don't wait up." Riley spoke as Maya nodded and waved at her.

Andrew shook his leg up and down as he waited anxiously for Farkle's "surprise" that he had for Josh to realize his feelings for Maya. He had been waiting all day for "it" (whatever it is) to show up. Josh kept glancing from his book to Andrew back to his book. He narrowed his eyes at his friends shaking leg and how he kept looking at his clock. Josh sighed and closed his book sitting up on his bed."What's wrong with you?" Josh asked as he shook his head in frustration. Andrew shook his head.
"Nothing." He mumbled. Josh shook his head.
"Let me guess. You have a date tonight?" Josh asked as he got off his bed and put his book back on his desk. Andrew shook his head.
"No actually I don't." Andrew snapped. Josh rolled his eyes.
"Then why are you shaking like that?" He asked as he sat back down on his bed.
"No reason. I'm going to get some coffee." Andrew said as he got up and started at the door.
"I'll go with you." Josh said as he got up and walked behind Andrew out the door. Andrew looked at him shocked and swallowed hard. They both made their way to Starbucks and got them a coffee and sat down at one of the tables. Andrew kept on looking all around him looking for any signs of Farkle and his surprise. Josh looked at him like he had two heads.
"Dude. What is wrong with you?" He asked again as Andrew snapped his head at him. But before Andrew could answer, Farkle walked up to them.
"Hey Josh, Andrew." He greeted them as he put his hands in his pockets.
"Turtleneck." Josh greeted not taking his eyes off of Andrew.
"Josh just so we're clear you don't have any intentions of dating Maya, correct?" Farkle asked bluntly making Josh snap his head at Farkle.
"Why." Josh demanded as he growled at Farkle giving him a glare. Farkle chuckled in amusement as he smiled.
"Just wondering." Farkle said simply. Josh deepened his glare.
"No offense Farkle but I don't think it's any of your business." Josh said as he looked back to Andrew.
"Maybe not mine but it is your fiancé's." Farkle said making Josh look at him in confusion.
"Josh!" A voice yelled behind Farkle making Josh widen his eyes in shock and stand up from his chair stumbling a little.
"Adrianna!" Josh exclaimed shock. Andrew put a hand over his mouth to keep from laughing as he stood up beside Farkle.
"The surprise?" Andrew asked Farkle as he leaned in to whisper in his ear. Farkle smiled and nodded.
"Now my friend this is where the real drama begins." Farkle spoke. "With Adrianna being here Josh will realize that his feelings for Adrianna are just a ploy to help him get over Maya, and it will make Maya realize that she is being stupid and needs to be with Josh." Farkle finished.
"But Josh already admitted that he still liked Maya and Maya is dead set on moving on from Josh." Andrew said confused.
"Yeah but this might make Josh actually make a move and as for Maya, if Josh broke the engagement off with Adrianna I think she will probably reconsider trying to move on from him. I think what's really hurting Maya is not the fact that Josh is dating someone else, but the fact that he still likes Maya but is refusing to break things off with Adrianna for her." Farkle explained his plan to Andrew as Andrew just stood there trying to understand.
"I don't get it." Andrew said, Farkle smiled and nodded.
"Think about it." Farkle answered back as he looked at Josh and Adrianna standing there starring at each other.
