Not so little anymore

Finally!

I'm just going to go straight into it!

It was silent in the car. Josh was gripping the steering wheel so tight that his knuckles were beginning to turn white. Adrianna was getting frustrated because Josh wasn't letting her touch him. Ever since they left the restaurant Josh had only one thing on his mind and that was Maya. He could care less about Adrianna.

As Josh pulled up to the hotel he parked the car and unlocked the car. It's like ever since he realized he still loved Maya his feelings for Adrianna were gone instantly. Adrianna leaned over to kiss him goodnight but Josh quickly turned his head so she got him on the cheek instead.

"What is wrong with you! I'm your wife you should be kissing me!" Adrianna yelled at him making Josh wince.

"I'm not really in a kissing mood right now." He said quietly. Adrianna huffed as she fell back in her seat.

"Well you better get in the kissing mood, because I'm not leaving until you give me a kiss." She said folding her arms. Josh rolled his eyes and turned to her.

"Stop acting like a spoiled brat and get out of my car!" Josh snapped at her making her eyes widen in shock. Josh had never stood up to her like that before.

"Joshy." She gasped making Josh roll his eyes even more at her dramatic gasp that wasn't called for.

"Go Adrianna, I'm not in the mood." Adrianna huffed as she finally got out of the car and slammed the door shut. After Josh made sure she got in the hotel okay he started back to campus.

The entire car ride back to his dorm Josh couldn't help but think about Maya being with some other guy that wasn't him. He went back in his mind at all the times he had rejected her and cursed himself for being so stupid. Now because of him Maya was in the arms of someone else and he had to live with the fact that he was the one that pushed her into them.

Josh parked his car and got out making his way into campus and walking to his dorm. He opened the already unlocked door knocking that Andrew was probably already back from whatever party he had gone to that night. After closing his door back Josh threw his keys down on his desk and plopped down on his bed getting Andrews attention.

"What's wrong with you?" He asked as he put his magazine down. Josh sighed as he kept his gaze up at the ceiling.

"You were right." Josh admitted in a low voice that Andrew could hardly hear.

"I'm right about a lot of things you're going to have to be more specific." He said making Josh glare at him.

"I mean you were right." Josh said as he got up from his bed to start pacing the floors. "I'm still in love with Maya." Andrews face broke out into a huge grin.

"Finally! You are the man!" He said as he got up and patted Josh on his back.

"I still haven't broken up with Adrianna yet." Josh also admitted making Andrews face go from a grin back to a frown.

"And just like that the man goes back to being an idiot!" Andrew snapped making Josh run his hands through his hair.

"I'm going to break up with her but, right now I need to talk to Maya!" Josh said as he picked up his phone but Andrew took it out of his hands.

"No you don't! Josh how do you think it's going to make her feel if you tell her you love her but then have to tell her you still haven't broken up with Adrianna yet!" Andrew snapped making Josh look at him.

"I don't know! But I have to tell her!" Josh said making Andrew nod his head.

"Yeah you do! But you tell her after you break up with Adrianna tomorrow." Andrew said. Josh sighed knowing that Andrew was right. If he were to tell Maya now it would just make her resent him even more. "How did it happen anyway?" Andrew asked the smile on his face returning.

"I saw her tonight on a date with Walkers. I tried not to let it get to me but when I saw them kissing I snapped. I love her, Andrew." Josh confessed making Andrew nod his head.

(Que the dramatic applause. 😂)

"Well it's about time."

Maya couldn't believe it. When Simon said he was going to take her somewhere they could talk he really meant take her somewhere they could really talk.

After they finished up there dinner, Simon paid the bill and drove her to this open field in a park. He put down a blanket and some pillows on the grass and they both laid down and Simon started talking. Maya thought that he was going to immediately start kissing her but he truly meant to just talk.

"You okay?" He asked her as he realized that she wasn't saying much. Maya nodded her head.

"Yeah. I just have never had a guy do this for me before." Maya said making Simon smile.

"What about Josh. I thought that you two had a lot of talk time." Simon said making Maya smile.

"Yeah but, never like this. Josh was always worried about our age difference and what people would say if they saw us together. So we would usually just talk when we were over at his brothers house." Maya admitted making Simon smile and shift to where he was looking down at her.

"I'm glad that I got to meet and know you." Simon said seriously.

"Me too." Maya admitted. She thought that Simon would go back to laying down but instead he just kept looking at her. "What?" She asked as Simon laughed.

"I know that this is just the first date and all but, I was wondering if maybe you would like to be my girlfriend?" Maya smiled as she could see the nervousness coming back in him.

"Yeah. I would like that very much." She said making Simon smile and lay back down beside her this time putting his arm around her as they continued talking.
