            Dan's POV:

I looked up at the ceiling. Not being able to move. I could hear the TV playing and my oxygen tank being the little shit it is and being so loud that it's all I hear.
I hear the kids talking and giggling outside, footsteps everywhere. The light from the window came in. Soon, the door creaked open.
"Dan?" Dad asked. "I brought you some lunch."
I ignored him and rolled on my side.
He sat down on my bed next to me, settling the plate down, and running his fingers through my curly hair. "How you holding up, bud?" He asks calmly.
     "Bored." I announce.
He slightly chuckles, still running his fingers through my hair. "Yup. That happens."
"I want to be out there. With everyone. Playing with Kyle and joking around with Molly." I said as I felt like all I was doing was wasting precious time.
"Yes, I know. But Kyle and Molly understands what you need right now."
"I can't even sleep." I reach for my phone.
Dad understands what I was trying to do, he quickly snatched my phone before I could. "No distractions." He said.
"Okay for once I actually don't want to stay inside all day!" I said.
"I understand, but you need to recover. We're lucky they let you out this early."
I close my eyes and start to cry a bit. Dad, still running his fingers through my hair, leans down and kisses my head. "Just a few more weeks Danny."
