Dan's POV:
I was editing a video for my second channel when Phil came in. "I have an amazing idea!"
"What?"
"Why doesn't Kyle just get a service dog?"
"Phil, if this is your sneaky way of getting a dog, it's not going to work." I say.
"No. I'm actually serious. It would teach Kyle a lot of responsibility!"
"It would."
"Exactly. It would help with his separation anxiety, him understanding how to care and show empathy for other life forms, and it would help him with a lot of tasks!" He smiled.
"Don't we need to have Kyle's therapist to ageee?"
"Already did." He smiled. "She said it would be great to teach him how to care for something else in case if he ever wants to have a child, and she said since autistic kids have a hard time making friends, it would be amazing to have a little buddy."
I smile and nod.
-Dinner Table-
"So Kyle." Phil spoke.
"Wha..." He mopped while playing with his spaghetti.
"So daddy and I talked, and we were thinking it would be great for you to get a service dog!"
"Dog dog?" He asks.
"Yup. How would you like a dog?"
He smiles and nods.
"So...Kyle gets a dog but I can't have a fish?" Molly asks.
"You want sushi?" I ask jokingly.
"No. I want an actual pet. He gets a dog."
"A service dog molly. You're not the one with autism."
Molly rolls her eyes and continues to eat.
