We open up at a university. In the hallway, we see a geeky, nerdy boy, who is surrounded by his friends. This is the biggest misfit group to ever be seen. These kids don't look like they should not be friends. One of the boys, is leaning up against the locker. He is wearing a leather jacket & some jeans with biker boots. Then, one red-headed girl is wearing a light blue dress, with a grey cardigan & grey lace-up heels. Another girl, is dressed up very nicely. She is wearing a slinky dress, & some black heels. Finally, we focus on the nerdy boy. He's wearing black, square framed glasses, a witty meme shirt, a black hoodie & blue skinny jeans. As the group is still talking, the boy with the leather jacket speaks up.
"I can't believe Mr. Ofer got fired!" says Chris, the boy with the leather jacket. Jake, the nerdy boy questions, "Chris, you do realize what Mr. Ofer was selling to the other kids on campus, right?" "Yeah, but he gave extremely easy questions on the test!" replies Chris. "Oh, great reason to keep him-" Jake says sarcastically, "Dude, he was drunk all the time. That's why there was easy questions, because his drunken mind couldn't think of any harder ones!" "Oh, shut up Jake!" Chris said angrily. Jake says cheekily "I'd rather not if that's all right." Chris says, even angrier "Jake, you're such a-" "I think Mr. Ofer should've stayed-" Taylor, the red-headed girl says, jumping into the conversation, "-I mean, he's a good teacher, & he's allowed to drink. After all, he is an adult...What do you think Em?" "I think he's cute," Em replies very nonchalantly. The group stares, at Em, with gross & boggled eyes.
After a long period of silence, Jake finally asks, "Em, you do realize that he was twice your age?" "Hey, I can still look at the menu" Em replied. "I'm just simply stating the facts," Jake says raising his hands in defeat. "Come on, man. Stop being so uptight. If you met a girl, & she was older than you, but you really fancy her, what would you do?" Chris questions. Jake replies, "I wouldn't be able to do anything. No girl will ever like me the way I like them." "You never know man. You might get lucky," Chris says in response to Jake's statement.
Taylor looks at Chris as she says, "Yeah, Jake. You never know when the perfect person is standing right in front of you. Right. Chris?" Chris looks in front of him; Jake is standing right in front of Chris. Chris finally says "...Wait, so you want Jake & I to date? Look, I get that you may ship us, but we don't swing that way-" "No! Chris, that is not what I was implying," Taylor says, slightly annoyed that Chris didn't get what she was implying. "Then, what were you implying?" Chris asks. "Ugh, never mind it doesn't matter-" Taylor starts to answer, "-Let's get going to class."
Em states, "Works for me." "I wonder who the new teacher is?" Jake questions. Em questions as she goes up the stairs, "I wonder if they're hot?" The rest of the group stands at the bottom of the stairs, staring up at Em, as she goes up the stairs. Em turns around to see the group at the bottom; the group is still not moving. Em finally says, "Come on, guys! Let's go!" The rest of the group look at each other, for reassurance, then follow Em up the stairs.
