Handcuffs & Bobby Pins

JJ & Jake reach the TARDIS door. JJ took, what seemed to be a necklace with a key on it, from her neck. She put the key in the lock & turned it. There was a click, & JJ opened the door. JJ gestured for Jake to walk in first. 

Jake kept walking forward he wasn't paying too much attention to JJ. "Alright, how are we going to stop the Daleks?" Jake questioned JJ, still not looking at her. 

JJ pulled a pair of handcuffs out of her jackets pocket. She started walking up to Jake. "Like this," JJ said as she cuffed one of Jake's wrists & then cuffed him to the safety bar, that surrounded the console. JJ looked Jake, in the eyes & added, "There. Now you can't get in any more trouble." JJ began to walk back towards the TARDIS door when Jake asked her, "Wait...Why do you have handcuffs?" JJ turned around to face Jake. "...Spoilers," JJ responded. JJ gave a Jake a cheeky wink. Once again, she started to walk out the door, when she was stopped, again, by Jake.

"JJ! You can't defeat the Daleks alone!" Jake yelled after JJ. 

JJ stopped in the doorway & turned around. She was walking up to the TARDIS console. She pulled a few bobby pins out of her hair & she placed them on the console. She went up a set of steps. Once she got to the top of the stairs, JJ turned right & started towards a chest up there. She opened the chest. JJ eventually pulled, what seemed to be a hair tie, out of the chest. She put her hair into a pony tail. She started back down the steps.

Jake was eyeing the bobby pins the entire time. In the movies, people were always able to get out of handcuffs with a bobby pin. Hopefully he could do the same.

"I won't be alone. I've got my dad with me," JJ said to Jake. Jake looked up at JJ. "Tell me. The last time that your father stopped the Daleks, how many people did he have with him?" Jake asked JJ. JJ paused for a moment. She crossed her arms, as she did not like the answer she was about to give him. "...Three, including himself," JJ answered. "Exactly!" Jake exclaimed. "No, he had a human with him, & of course he had to save the damsel in distress. If we have two Time Lords, then we'll get the job done a lot quicker than if we brought you with us," JJ said while looking Jake directly in the eyes. "Are you trying to say that all humans are just damsels in distress?" Jake asked JJ. "It means that you're at more of a risk of getting hurt than I am. 

After that, JJ turned towards the door & walked out.

JJ stepped out of the TARDIS door & closed it behind her. She started walking down the corridor.

JJ turned the corner, just as a Dalek also rounded the opposite corner. The Dalek began to talk.

"YOU ARE AN A-" the Dalek began. JJ pulled her gun out of her  jacket. She shot the Dalek directly in the eyestalk, & just kept on walking.

Jake was trying to reach the TARDIS console. He finally managed to get a grip on the bobby pin. He brought it close to the handcuffs.

"Okay, Jake. This usually works in the movies. If we get this, we ought to be a movie star!" Jake said to himself. 

Jake put the bobby pin in the lock. He started twisting it like a key. Jake did this several minutes.
