JJ & Jake ran across Skaro. JJ was obviously in the front with Jake following close behind her. JJ came to a stop when she saw the TARDIS not too far from her. She turned around to look at Jake.
"Come on! We're almost there!" she yelled. "Wait for me!" Jake pleaded. JJ did as Jake requested. Eventually, Jake caught up with her. As he reached her, he was panting like a dog on a hot summer day. Jake pulled JJ close to him & whispered in her ear.
"We should be careful. Those...things..they could be very close, & we don't want them to kill us. So, just be careful." JJ paused for a moment to think of a response to that when she finally pulled him close & whispered herself.
"But being careful is no fun."
JJ pulled away & flashed him a bright smile. JJ made a break for the TARDIS, as Jake just stood there & watched her for a second.
"Wait!" he called after her, but didn't seem to work on her this time.

JJ ran all the way to the TARDIS, & she made it there perfectly fine. JJ put her hand on the door to the TARDIS, & then turned to face Jake.
"Come on!" she yelled after him.

Jake looked around to make sure that no one was watching him. Then, he, himself, made a break for the TARDIS.
Jake managed to get to the TARDIS without any trouble as well. JJ looked at him.
"Well, that wasn't so bad now was it?" she asked.
...Or, at least, she thought it wouldn't be so bad.
