Here's Ava's dad.

Vic and I were lounging around my room on my beanbag chairs, watching some random T.V. show on my little TV. We were bored to death. I couldn't even think of anything else to do because boredom overtook my thoughts.
It was another one of the nicer days of the season and the sunlight streamed in, warming the back of our heads. Although, I had to admit, we were wasting it by lounging around inside.
"So..." Vic sighed.
"Sooo..."
"What do you want to do today?"
"I don't know, what do you want to do?" I quoted.
"Now don't start that again." She argued back with another movie quote.
"Seriously though, what do you want to do?"
"Umm...we could watch movies all day but...I don't know."
"How about we visit the library?" I hadn't even finished my question and Vic jumped up and started squealing. "What's your problem?"
"Books!" was all she could say.
Vic and I had our differences our entire lives. We were each others best friends and worst enemies. But, when it came to books, we connected. Books seemed to always be the glue between our cracks and they were always there when we fought.
"Ava." Speaking of Vic, she snapped her fingers in front of my face to wake me from my daydream.
"Sorry, dreaming of books." I muttered.
"Instead of dreaming of them, let's go get some." She suggested.
"Okay." I agreed.
"I'll go let mom know that we're going to the library and you..."
"Yeah, I'll get ready." I was still wearing my fuzzy, blue pajama pants and a dark blue tank top that went well with it. (Don't mention my fashionable thoughts to anyone, it'll ruin my rep!)
I entered my walk-in closet and pouted. I forgot that it had been ransacked. I grabbed my ripped black skinny jeans and ankle boots that were hidden in the back of my closet. Then i picked a flowery white t-shirt that my mom had bough. I threw my hair into a high ponytail that caused my side hairs to go into a frenzy, but I smoothed them over with a black headband.
"I'm ready!" I called.
"Mom said it's okay if we go out for a few hours." Vic answered.I should have guessed that my mom would agree to sibling bonding time, but even if she didn't I still would've gone.
"I'll wait outside." I told Vic as I grabbed my leather jacket and hurried outside before my mom saw my forbidden outfit. The cool breeze blowing off the Thames river chilled me to the bone but the sun warmed me back up.
Victoria flew outside in her sweater and Ugg boots which was a smarter choice than my jacket and boots, but I chose beauty over comfort. Plus, I would do much more for books than suffer in heeled boots.
"How are we going to get there? Walking or taking the bus?"
"How about we walk? It's been a few days since we were able to do our daily walk."
"Good point." Vic chimed in.
'The daily walk' was something of a tradition between Vic and me. It all started when our mom went through her fitness phase. Vic and I kind of got sucked into it and it kind of became habit to go for a walk.
