"How are you feeling?"

I stretched my legs and rolled on to my back as Finnick's hands traveled over my head and cheeks searching for a sign of fever. Every morning Finnick dose this. Hoping to never find the sign. More times then not he has found the sign.

"I was feeling fine, till you woke me up."

He stood up straight and gave a light laugh. "I let you sleep as long as I could. You have to get ready. I made breakfast."

I sighed and sat up rubbing my eyes. Reaping Day. I hate this day. Finnick sat a tray of food over my lap and smiled. I laughed and shook my head. Gotta give credit to him for making me laugh on a day like this, where I almost lost him and Annie to the Hunger Games.

"The Odair breakfast, sandwich and sugar cubes."

"Actually the sugar is mine." He said taking the bowl off the tray.

Finnick can not cook to save his life. Either Mags or Annie or if I feel good cooks for him. He makes good sandwiches, but really how hard is it to make one. Finnick sat at the end of my bed as I ate my breakfast he was barely eating, just staring at them.

"Are you ok? You're not eating and you never turn down sugar cubes." I asked.

"I fine. Oh, I brought you a dress, well Annie picked it out. It might be a little big, but Mags said she could pin it for you."

He sat the bowl back on my tray and got up and left the room. I finished most of the sandwich but was too nervous to eat, just like Finnick is. I only eat to make him feel better.

He came back with the dress. It was pale blue with thin straps. He laid it on the bed and I handed him the tray. It was almost time for the reaping. I pushed Finnick from the room and got dressed.

The dress was much too big. Well, I was much too small. A knock sounded on the door and I yelled. Mags and Annie stepped in. They pinned the dress so it didn't look so big. Annie found some shoes and Mags put a belt around my waist.

"Girls, we have to go or we'll be late." Finnick yelled from downstairs.

Annie gave me a hug and held my hand as we left Victor's Village and made our way to the square.

Once at the square Mags, Annie, and Finnick had to go to the stage and I got in line. They would sit on the stage as I stood in the crowd till it was over, then meet them in the Village after the games were over.

After my finger was pricked I stood with a bunch of fifteen years olds facing the stage. They all talked amongst themselves. I would now them if I went to school but again the sickness ruined that. I looked up at the stage as the mayor come up to the podium and welcomed us to the 74th Hunger Games. He listed the previous winners from our district and they walked on stage.

I gave Finnick a light smile which he returned and the video started. It showed about the rebelling and why we have these horrible games. Once that was over the capitol escort was announced and he came to the podium.

Griff Thorn, a pudgy man with dyed green hair and dyed orange skin. I hate these Capitol people and their bright colors. He walked to the girls podium and grabbed a piece of paper and opened it.

"Brook Odair!"
