After the interviews we were engulfed by our mentors and stylists, telling us how good we were. Finnick or Annie wasn't there. But the other mentors were.
I got away from my creepy stylist and got in an elevator. I turned around when a body slammed into mine. An arm was around my waist and another in the middle of my back. My arms were around their shoulders.
A first I thought that it was Finnick. But then Finnick isn't as tall as this person. I tried to step back, but they just pulled me closer. I looked up and saw Cato was looking down at me smiling.
His hand left the middle of my back and he turned. The elevator doors closed and we started moving up. He turned back around smirking and his face was so close to mine. I looked into his baby blue eyes and his smirk widened.
"That dress looks sexy on you."
A blush crept to my cheeks and he laughed. I never had anyone say that to me or hold me like he is. Never had time to date or hang out with boys.
"You don't look to bad yourself." I said and smiled.
His arm tighten around my waist and he pulled me closer. I slid my arms around his neck and he began to take the clips out of my hair. My dark hair fell around my shoulders and down my back in mud brown waves.
"Are you still going along with the plan for tomorrow?"
"Yes. Get to the Cornucopia and guard the weapons. Kill anyone that tries to get one."
He smiled and the doors opened on his floor. He kissed my cheek then let me go. My hands fell to my sides as he pressed the number for my floor then stepped from the elevator.
"Where something pretty for tomorrow." He smirked as the doors closed.
I closed my eyes and leaned against the back wall as the elevator carried me up.
~~~~~~
"Where did you disappear to?" Finnick asked rushing off the elevator as the rest of the party followed him slowly.
"Just want to get away from the huge crowd and change out of these heels."
He stopped in front of me and squinted his eyes at me. Crap! My hair! Cato took the clips out and didn't give them back. I raised my eyebrows at Finnick as Annie grabbed his arm.
"She was in the elevator with the boy from 2. She's allies when him. She's in the career pack." Hector said heading to his room.
I stared at the back of his head in shock. Once he turned the corner I looked down at the ground. I never told Finnick about being in the careers. Didn't want him to freak out.
"Why didn't you tell me?" He asked.
"You never asked." I whispered.
He was mad. I could hear it in his voice. When he's mad he can be loud or if he's silent you're in trouble.
"How am I supposed to help you if you don't tell me your plan. How-."
He shook his head then turned away and walked to his room. Annie reached for me, but I turned and walked to my room. I ripped the dress off and change then went to bed. Annie came and knocked on the door for dinner. I didn't move. I didn't want to face Finnick. I hope Hector is happy and he really does kill me in the arena.
