I laid wrapped in Cato's arms as the anthem played. He kissed my head and ran his fingers across my back. Once the anthem was over I got up to but my clothes back on. Cato whined till I threw his clothes at him.

Once back at the cornucopia Clove and Marvel said they did not find anyone. I said I'd take first watch and they fell asleep. I leaned back against a box with my ax sitting next to me. Cato put his head on my lap and was soon snoring.

I ran my fingers through his hair and thought about how mad Finnick most likely is. I have a boyfriend. I told said boyfriend that I loved him and that I have no hope of winning. Finnick must be so happy with me.

The cannon sounded as the boy from ten slumped to the ground. Blood streamed from the knife protruding from his next. Clove walked forward and retrieved the knife.

We were hunting most of the morning. Nine of us are left. It is past time that I should leave the careers. Finnick left when there was ten people left. Annie was never part of the careers. She and her district partner worked together till he died. She went crazy but survived on her own, early in her games. Cato won't let me leave though and I promised myself that I would be happy with him for however long I have left.

Once back at the cornucopia I rummage through the pyramid of supplies looking for some fresh bandages. My shoulder wound finally started to heal, but I will for sure have a scar, if I live long enough for it to fully heal.

"Brook, please come back. It's not really safe to be there." Cato whined as I continued to dismiss his concerns. "Brook, please."

"Cato, I'm looking for bandages."

"Marvel has a first aid kit in his bag. There's bandages their."

"Those are Marvel's."

I found the bandages and jumped around the mines and back to Cato's side. I smiled at him then walked over to Clove. It was hard to wrap the bandages around my shoulder with one hand. Peeta use to do it for me before Cato drove him away for betraying us, by letting Katniss go.

"Fire! Cato yelled excitedly and point to the woods.

Arguments broke out about if the boy from three should come or stay. Marvel wanted him to stay and guard.

"The supplies will be fine. We need him in the woods. He comes with us." Cato yelled and trusted a spear into the boy's hands.

We took off running into the woods. Once at the fire nobody was there. The boy from three and I searched the woods near by and found nothing. Someone set the fire then left. I walked back into the clearing and Cato was very angry.

"Look! Another fire!" Clove said pointing.

"Someone, is tricking-"

A loud boom sounded from the way we came. The supplies! I took off running back the to the lake, with the rest following behind. I broke into the clearing as the last mine went off.

I fell as the ground shook. The smoke rolled over me and Marvel tripped landing on my back. I began to cough as the smoke cleared. It reminded me all too much of the fire.

Cato began to curse and throw a fit. Marvel rolled off me and helped me up. My ears were ringing from the explosion of the last mine. The pyramid was a smoldering pile of smoke. Nothing survived.

"Cato! Cato, stop. There's no sense to shouting." I said grabbing his coat.

He pushed me away and lunged for District 3. The boy backed away pleading for his life. He dropped the spear and turned to run. He didn't get far. Cato wrapped him in a headlock. His arm muscles rippled as he snapped the boy's neck. The cannon sounded and I grabbed Cato's arm and turned his face to look at me.

"Who ever set the explosion probably died. Stop yelling." I said letting him go.

He nodded his head, but was still mad. Clove searched through the rubble but found nothing. We walked to the lake so the boy's body could be picked up.

The sun disappeared and the anthem began to play. The only deaths today was the boy from 3 and 10. Whom ever set the mines, was still alive.

"If we find her, I kill her in my own way and nobody interferes." Cato said and we took to the woods to hunt.
