"Why don't you fish Glimmer. Oh, that's right you don't know how. You can't do anything!" Cato said taking the spool off my lap.

"Cato it's fine. I don't mind fishing."

"Yeah, see sicky, doesn't mind."

"Sicky? I'm not sick anymore, you bitch!"

I stood up and grabbed her by the throat. She tried pulling my arm away, that didn't work so she tried to punch me. Again that didn't work. I could see that the rest of the careers were running this way. But, I didn't care. If I die today so be it.

"Do you want to die today? I could drown you in this lake, no problem!"

Cato pulled me away and wrapped his arms around my waist. He was to strong to get away from so I just leaned back into him. My arm was starting to throb, so I just leaned against him taking deep breaths as he told Marvel and Clove to take Glimmer away.

"Are you ok to fish?" He asked letting go of me.

"Yeah. Just give me a minute to make the hooks.

Cato and I walked back to the cornucopia carrying five fish. He caught one and I got the rest. I teased him as we walked and he kept pushing me. Once back Peeta had gathered some leaves to wrap the fish in and he helped me cook.

I walked to a trunk to get a bigger knife to skin the fish, when I heard this dinging sound. I looked towards the woods but saw nothing. The dinging became louder and from above me.

"Parachute!" Clove said pointing above me. "It's for you."

A large box floated down and landed at my feet. Why would Finnick send me something? I don't need anything right now. I retrieved the box and opened it. A slip of paper fluttered to the ground and I picked it up.

To one as beautiful as their brother.

It wasn't from Finnick. It was a Capitol person, one who probably paid to sleep with my brother. Who hopes I win too, so he can get the same from me. 'They like you too.' Finnick told me while he was preparing me for my interview.

I crumbled the note up disgusted, and threw it into the fire. I picked the object up and instantly became mad. It was a trident. The shaft was pure black and the three prongs shining silver. I kicked the box away and stalked right to the woods.

Once deep in the woods I screamed. I didn't care if another tribute heard me. I hate the Capitol. I hate always being compared to Finnick. I love Finnick, I do. But getting a trident, in front of the careers, I am for sure going to be killed. I have a sponsor and the trident is the most expensive gift, to give someone.

I threw the trident into the tree. It bounced off and landed on the ground as footsteps grew louder behind me. This is it. The careers are here to kill me. I could use the trident to defend myself, but I would probably just hurt myself with it.

"Brook. Why did you run?" Cato said coming to a stop in front of me. "Don't scream, someone could be near by and your hurt."

He walked around me and pick up the trident. He nodded his head. It was a pretty weapon, but I can't use it. He offered the trident to me with a smile. I looked at it with disgust and and his brows furrowed together.

"What's wrong?"

"I hate tridents. I can't use them and everyone thinks I can, because Finnick could. Just kill me now."

"I'm not killing you. Besides you don't have to use the trident. Just acted grateful for it, maybe whomever sent it will send you more things." He whispered the last part and stepped closer to me smirking. "It's a pretty wicked weapon, maybe just holding it would scare someone away."

"Your not running away." I said as he put his arm around my waist.

"Because I know you won't hurt me. Just like I won't hurt you."

"Cato w-"

He pulled me closer to him and put his other hand in my hair and crashed his lips to mine. I dropped the trident and my hands went to his shoulders. This is wrong. We shouldn't be kissing. Not here, not now. But, I couldn't push him away. My lips moved in sync with his. My fingers curled into his hair as his arm tightened around my waist.

"Cato, we can't. Not here." I said once we broke away for breath.

"I don't care where we are. I've wanted to do that since I saw you on the chariot. Just let us be happy for our last few days. I'll figure something out. I promise." He said whispering in my ear.

He kissed slowly down my cheek and it caused me to shiver. He chuckled then attached his lips back to mine and smirked. His fingers knotted themselves in my hair and his arm left my waist and squeezed my ass. I slapped his shoulder and he laughed.

"Didn't I just say for us to be happy for our last few days?"
