We tributes stood in a circle listening to the head instructor talking about all the stations and rules. Well, nobody was really listening we were all sizing each other up. Cato, District 2, was looking at me from across the gym. He gave me a smile then turned to the district 1 boy, Marvel, I think.

Finnick woke me up this morning to check my head and too talk since I ignored him last night. He told me to only be with the careers if they talk to me. If they don't I was to go to a station to learn something new, and touch the weapons tomorrow.

When Finnick was apart of the careers during his games, till they turned on each other and he ran before they could kill him. I still didn't tell him what Hector said. The kid is only thirteen and can't really use any weapons, so his threat is useless.

The instructor let us go and I looked around at the stations. I don't need to learn how to fish, tie knots, build a fire or learn edible plants. While I was sick Finnick brought books for me to read, one was about edible plants. It was pretty boring, but what else was I supposed to do.

I turned to go to the fish hook station. Maybe I could woo the Gamemakers and fellow tributes with my fish hook making skills, When someone grabbed my wrist. It was Cato and Marvel stood behind him.

"Yes?" I asked turning to face him.

"Come with us to the weapons."

Marvel squinted his eyes and shook his head and let out a small laugh. Cato turned and slapped his arm.

"Come train with us."

"Sure."

I followed them to the weapons station. We passed the trident station and the instructor smile and waved me over. I looked to the ground and my hands curled into fists. Is this the only reason Cato came? To see if I'm anything like Finnick.

"Shouldn't you be at the trident station, District 4?" The girl from one said.

"The trident isn't my preferred weapon. Shouldn't you be at the jewelry making station?" I asked and smirked at the glare the came to her face.

"You bitch-"

"That's enough Glimmer!" Marvel said grabbing her arm.

I shouldered past her and went to the ax station. Axes were laid in ranges of all sizes. I picked up a large deadly sharp one and weighted it. It had a nice weight to it and I twirled it around my hand. A target stood about twenty feet away. I whipped the ax and it stuck in the bullseye.

I smiled. I still got it.

Once I retrieved the ax I asked one of the instructors to par with me. Finnick told me to impress the others. I started off easy. Just some small swings to warm up. The instructor got a little bored and I swiped at his face just at the neck and made him stumble back in shock.

I smirked and this irked him off and he swung back at me. I dodged and spun to attack from behind. He blocked my swung and a clank sounded throughout the gym. I swung towards his gut but he blocked that to. I grinned. I had him just where I wanted him.

I shot my leg out and swiped him of his feet. He landed on the ground with a thud and I placed my foot on his arm holding the ax. I placed my knee on his chest and the ax at his throat.

I stood up and the instructor grunted as he rolled to his stomach. Everyone in the gym and the Gamemakers, were watching me. Cato stood smiling as I turned to Glimmer.

"This is my weapon of choice, not the trident."
