Chapter 14

Freddy's POV

     Leaning back, against my locker, I smile. Summer's laugh is so beautiful, in fact, she's gorgeous. Leaning into me she trails her nail down my face, and my heart skips a beat, why did she have to do that. Groaning inwardly, I smile to cover up my want for her. Summer's eyes look down at the ground, and she bites her lip. I chuckle, she's so hot, she could get every man in the world if she did that all day.

     A rose pink colour spreads across her face and I sigh, Summer's perfect for me. "You look so cute when you blush Summer!" I tell her honestly, she nods her head. My body moves without thinking, pulling her closer to me. Ahh, this is the life. I think as I stroll down the school hallways, with Summer by my side.

    "Freddy!" Meagan screams at me, and I stop, pulling Summer around to face her with me. Today she's wearing one of my favourite outfits of her's. Skinny blue jeans, and a baby blue and white striped crop-top.

        "Hey Meagan." I say cooly. She smiles at me, and I'm drawn into her green eyes. She's so pretty, if only she liked me. No, stop that Freddy. You have a girlfriend, I scold myself.

         "Who's this?" Meagan asks. Pulling on her over the shoulder purse. Staring right back at me. Gulping, I realize I can't really speak at this moment. For some odd reason, she's super pretty today.

          "I'm Summer!" My girlfriend chirps cheerfully, clasping my hand in her's.

           "That's such a pretty name! And you're so pretty. It's perfect, a pretty name for a pretty girl!" Meagan giggles, and Summer joins, reminding me of her beautiful laugh.

    "Oh Freddy," she begins, winking at me. "My mom says to tell you that she can't drive you home after movie night tonight!" Frowning I look down at the ground, I'd been looking forward for that for months, and now I don't have a drive home.

        "Oh that sucks. I'll have to get my mom to come and get me." I pout, then cringe because of my tone.

         "I know right, my mom has to go and get me some new bras, for our trip together." Meagan says, as if this is a normal conversation. I was looking forward to our trip, it was our ten year anniversary of being best friends! I think we're best friends. I feel Summer's gaze, and I turn my head. Her eyes are filled with hurt, and I know that I can't fix it.

          "Great! Well I'll see you later!" Meagan says, waving at me. "And bye Summer, it was so nice to meet you." I laugh once, but half heartedly.

         "Who is she." Summer's hisses at me, once Meagan's gone, fixing me with a glare.

         "Oh her! She's...." I can't say best friend, because Summer won't like that. And I don't know what she will do, and I need to protect Meagan. Wait, why do I need to protect Megan? I look at the ground, preparing myself for Summer's wrath.

          "Just admit it Freddy, she's your slut!" Summer screams at me. Now that, that was a bad accusation. I can't believe she would think I would do something like that. I hang my head in disappointment. "See you can't even deny it!" I grimace at her words. "How can I be so stupid. I thought you wanted me to be your girlfriend!" But I do, I think.
