Chapter 26

Freddy's POV

I did what I had to do, and asked Meagan to be my date. But all of that doesn't feel right. I love Summer, not Meagan! Sighing, I shuffle down the hallway, my head hanging, and my spirt low.

"Hey Freddy!" Meagan says cheerfully, kissing my cheek. I instantly put on my show and perk up.

"Hey babe." I whisper huskily. Meagan giggles and twines our fingers together.

       "So, I was thinking that I would go dress shopping tonight!! And you could come so you can help pick out my dress." She tells me, winking. I blush and nod.

         "Sounds great!" I lie, pecking her on the lips. She smiles a little, and runs to her locker. Rolling my eyes I run down the hallway in search of Summer. I have to tell her about earlier and apologize. When I find her, she's curled up in a ball. A trash can full of tissues right beside her. And Kale quietly hand her one after the other.

       "Summer, I" I start.

       "Don't." Summer snarls, standing up. "You say you love me, then go to the dance with another girl! How is that you living me?" She screams in my face.

        "I do love you!" I tell her.

        "Yeah right. I'm just your extra girl that's always the second best. And it's all probably because I'm ugly, and Meagan's perfect." Summer says glaring at me.

         "I love you! And if you just let me talk you would understand!" I say exasperated. She nods, then motions for me to start.

          "I do love you with all my heart. Your so beautiful my heart dies little flips every time I see you. I still can't believe that your mine, and that a girl as perfect in every way, could be mine." I say gently. "When I saw you today jumping in the hallway with Kale. I decided that I didn't want to take that smile away, I didn't want it to be gone from the face of the earth. It would really be depressing without you. So to protect you I changed it in the spot and changed your name to Meagan's name. So all in all, I really do love you Summer." I end, and look up. Summer's eyes are glistening with tears, but she's smiling, big.

      "I love you to Freddy!" She cheers, kissing me on my forehead. I smile then remember tonight.

       "Oh yeah. I have to hang out with Meagan tonight. I promise nothing will happen." I tell her, she nods. "But we'll be at the mall getting a dress for Meagan. Why don't you get a dress that's the same colour as hers, or close. So we can match at the dance." Summer looks at me astonished. Then squeals.

       "Yes!!!" She screams.

Now this was a happy chapter!! Do you all agree??? What do you think. Should I show what there wearing before the dance or nah?
