Ever since she can remember Summer has had the biggest, uncontrollable love for Freddy. And everyone knows it, except for Freddy hims...
"You look gorgeous Summer!" Tomika gasps as she opens the door.
"I guess!" I say, looking down at myself. The cream white dress hung off my frame perfectly. I feel normal, somehow ordinary. I glance at Tomika, her red dress hugging her hips.
"Do I look okay?" Tomika asks, blushing. I nod, as I watch Kale come in in the same dress.
"You guys are perfect." I breath out, holding my hand to my chest.
"Thanks!" Kale chirps, leaning in to hug me. I grasp her tightly and don't let go.
"Aren't you gonna give me a hug?" Tomika asks, sounding offended. I let go of Kale and pull in Tomika.
"Is this better." I gasp, squeezing her. She wiggles in my arms, trying to get out. I giggle, and let go. We're all laughing when a knock comes to the door.
"Summer? Are you in there?" Freddy asks. I look around the room wide eyed, I need to hide.
"Just a second Freddy!" I yell as I dive behind a changing screen. "Okay!" I yell at him. I can hear the door open, and close.
"Where's Summer?" Freddy asks. "I want to see her."
"You can't see her before the wedding it's bad luck!" I hear Kale scream.
"Yeah!" Tomika seconds, I see her shadow move across the room.
"Okay well, Summer I just wanted to tell you that I love you!" Freddy says to me.
"Love you to Freddy." I say through the screen. Freddy leaves and I breath out.
"That was close!" Kale tells me, and I nod in agreement. I run over to the couch and sit down.
"Are you okay?" Tomika asks me as I dab some more lipgloss on.
"Yeah, I'm just extremely nervous." I tell them. They look at each other and nod.
"I was nervous for my wedding to Summer." Tomika comforts me, fiddling with her ring.
"Mine to." Kale says, holding my hand.
"Yeah, well Asher was sweating like crazy?!" Tomika points out, laughing. Kale rolls her eyes but joins in laughing.
"Summer, their ready." My dad yells into the room. I look at Kale and Tomika, and nod at them. They start to walk and I follow, my arm looped through my dads.
"Dad if I fall, will you promise to catch me?" I ask nervously, my voice trembling.
"No, because you won't fall. But I'm right here for you." He tells me, squeezing my hand. Nodding I look up to see Freddy staring at me awestruck. I blush, looking down at my dress hidden feet. I feel my arm being put into Freddy's steady arm, and I look to my dad.
"I love you daddy." I tell him, kissing his cheek.
"I love you to princess." He replied, brushing a loose piece of hair behind my ear. We start to walk and I can feel Freddy's eyes on me.
"You look gorgeous Summer." Freddy tells me, grabbing my hands and facing me.
"Thanks, and you're extremely handsome." He blushes and stares me in the eyes. The judge starts speaking and I can feel my life set into place.
