Summer's POV
I can't stay mad at Tomika forever! I think plopping down in my desk. I need to apologize for not believing her. I nod to myself and pull myself away from my desk. Gulping, I turn the handle and enter the hall.
"Hey Tomika I." I stop dead in my tracks and watch as Freddy and Tomika hurriedly untangle themselves. I look between my best friend and my best friend/crush, who just betrayed me. I was hurt, they can't do that to me and expect forgiveness. I storm back into the classroom, tears falling down my cheeks.
"Summer, what's wrong?" Mr. Finn asks me, as I fling myself down in my desk.
"My friends just betrayed me, and now I'm not sure if I'm even want to be friends with them." I cry, running my hands through my hair.
"Technically, you can't stop being friends with someone. Your 'ex-friend' will always have a place in your mind or heart!" Lawrence states, walking up the row to my desk.
"Like that's going to make me feel any better!" I scream at him, and watch him back up quickly. Bumping into Tomika's desk.
"Summer, calm down!" Mr. Finn shouts at me. Gripping the edges of my desk. "Go to the bathroom and cool down dudette. Yelling isn't going to help you with anything, except to yell down a taxi." Nodding, I stand, Mr. Finn is right. Yelling doesn't help with anything. I trudge towards the opposite door that Tomika and Freddy are outside of, and slowly push it open.
"Thanks Freddy." I hear Tomika say. Her voice sounding strained. I gulp, she sounds sorry, maybe I could just forgive her.
"Hey can I ask you to come to my locker after school. I was wondering if you could help me practice something?" Freddy asks Tomika. And I glare down at myself, what could go even more wrong Summer? I ask myself.
"Of course, I would do anything for a friend that helped me." Tomika speaks excitedly. I gulp, and hang my head. I wonder what they could be doing. There's only one way to find out, spy. I giggle nervously and step out into the hallway, and walk straight past them. They stare as if I'm crazy, but I know I'm not, they're the crazy ones.
