                        Tomika's POV

Sighing, I watch as Summer stirs her ice cream for the tenth time. Then again. I let out a low grumble, and rest my head and on my hand.

"Summer, are you going to eat your ice cream?" I ask, hoping she'll start eating it. Because I'm not really in the mood to see my money go to waste today. After a minute if silence I slam my hand down on the table. Obviously she isn't going to answer me, so I'm going to do this the hard way. Summer
Jumps in her seat, but looks at me, giving me the permission to start talking.

"Summer, I know it sucks that you can't go out with Freddy because of what we promised each other." I tell her, my voice showing the annoyance. "But I wasn't the one who made you promise that you were. So if you're mad at me, there is no reason to be mad!" Summer huffs, and shovels a spoonful of melted ice cream into her mouth. I sigh in relief, and close my eyes. But they snap open a second later when I hear Summer basically choke one her ice cream.

"Are you okay Summer?" I ask, looking at her.

"No!" She squeaks out. I roll my eyes. Why does she always have to be like this!

"What is it, what happened?" I question her, hoping it's something like, my ice cream doesn't taste good warm, or I can't eat this.

"Freddy's here!" She whispers to me. Her hands squeezing mine. My breath hitches and I turn around, to see Freddy staring at Summer and me. I smile tightly at him then grab Summer's hand. Pulling her out of her chair, she grabs her ice cream, that now looks like soup, and throws it in the trash on the way out.

"Hurry Summer." I tell her, trying to make her walk faster, but she's pulling against me.

"No!" She screams, snatching her hand back abruptly. I stumble forewords, almost falling on my face.

"What is wrong?" I shout back, combing my hand through my hair, something that usually calms me.

"I like Freddy, and you do to. We made a promise to keep off him together. Then Freddy tells me he likes me, and asks me out. But I have to say no." She screams at me, then turns around to the crowd that's gathered, and finds Freddy. "Freddy if your offer is still open, I would like to take it." I stumble again, but this time, over shock.

"Summer?" I ask unbelievingly. She smiled sadly at me.

"I can't be friends with you when your keeping me from my own happiness." She tells me. I nods, accepting the fact she doesn't want to be my friend. Glancing up, I watch her stride over to Freddy and grab his hand. Ugh. I hate her.
