Dedicated to _Ghostly_Fever for voting on eVERYTHING REALLY FAST? HOW? THANKS? WHAT
"So, uh, what do we do?" Lance asked. "I've never really dealt with this... kind of... So, how did you guys die?"
"We were in the castle, on our way back to Earth... We had answered a distress call that led us to the final members of the galra armies. You took care of most of them when you blew up that ship, but pockets still exist around the universe. Well, not anymore, we-" Hunk's rambles were cut off by annoyed Allura who appeared right next to Lance.
"-adins!" She yelled, falling to the floor.
"Uh, what?" Keith asked.
"Oh, hey Allura. Are you dead too?" Pidge helped the Altean to her feet.
"What? I can't be dead. Well, I suppose I can. But I have survived direct blasts from the castle before. We Alteans can take a beating." (A/N - everyone in the last episode of season two should've died like ten different times like jfc)
"Wait, who said we were dead?" Hunk asked, scratching his head.
"Well, uh, we agreed that we were ghosts." Shiro reminded him.
"Um, no? You didn't? I thought that was a joke." Lance folded his tiny arms.
"Who is that?" Allura asked, looking at the five year old version of Lance as if she had just noticed him.
"Oh, hey, princess." Lance waved at her before going back to his attempts to pull open a tub of Play-Doh.
"Is that...?"
"Yep, it's Lance." Hunk answered before she asked. "Reincarnation. I think."
"It's pretty confusing. I'm my brother. Like, I was born as my brother." Lance explained.
"That's... weird." Allura paused. "What exactly are we doing here?"
Six Years Later
"Hunk, I swear to God that if you don't shut up, I will deliberately fail this test." Lance muttered. Hunk had been feeding him answers on the engineering portion of the Garrison placement test. Lance knew the answers, as all six members of team Votlron had been living with him for the past six years.
They were all supposed to be old by now, but being a ghost did wonders for de-aging.
"Geez, sorry." Hunk pouted. "I was only trying to help."
"I don't need help! I know the answer to every goddamn question on this test." Lance whispered. The only kid who seemed to notice was a black haired girl who kept giving him weird looks. In any other circumstance, Lance would flirt, but his heart belonged to Keith.
It was weird, dating a ghost, but Lance couldn't have been happier. He didn't have to pay for extra movie tickets, so that was a plus.
"Lance, if you fail this-"
"Pidge, I swear to Kaltenecker..." Lance groaned quietly. Pidge snickered as the black haired girl gave Lance an odd stare.
"Okay, okay."
Three Years Later
"Bitch, you owe me ten dollars." Lance grinned.
"Lance, I'm a ghost. I don't even have a body, much less ten dollars on that body."
"Oh, yeah. You died in space. Huh."
"Hey, what has you so excited?" Allura asked, floating into the room.
"I graduated a year early. I'm going on a mission to one of Mars's moons." He grinned wider and tried to hug Allura, but fell face-first into the wall.
"Idiot." Keith smiled.
Two Years Later
"Guys, look..." Lance took a deep breath. His crew hadn't heard him, but his family did.
"Shit, is that-"
"That is." Team Voltron was staring straight at the blue lion, sitting on one of Mars's moons. Lance looked her in the eyes and she roared.
"Blue!" He yelled happily. Suddenly, his paladin armor replaced his bulky Garrison space suit.
"Lance?" Violet, the black haired girl who loved to give Lance weird looks said.
"I have some shit to explain." He waved her off and flew towards his lion.
"But... That's the weapon we were sent to retrieve!" Blake panicked.
"This girl is the leg of Voltron! I piloted her about... Ooh, what was it, Keith? Sixteen years ago?"
"Yep."
"Who's Keith?" Violet asked.
"I'll tell you later. But I'm kind of thirty two years old. Long story. It's a thirty two year story. That's pretty long."
"Lance, please get out of the weapon." Blake said sternly.
"This girl is no weapon when I'm inside of her." Lance assured him. "I wonder if I can bring you guys back!"
"Not likely. Our bodies were lost in space, and-" Hunk gasped as Blue was shot at.
"Oh, shit!" Lance panicked, taking off. He flew away, back towards where their ship/base was.
"Hey, La- oH MY GOD~" Pidge facepalmed and flew into the blue lion. Keith sighed and handed her ten dollars.
"Keith, what the fuck? You said that ghosts didn't have money!"
"Dude, that was like four years ago."
"It was two years and six days ago!"
"That isn't the point!"
"What is that?!" Lance gasped, watching as Blake loaded up a huge cannon.
"That's... Galra technology...!" Coran yelled.
"No, no, no!" Lance yelled as his crewmate shot him down from the sky. Lance yelled in pain as he hit the surface of the moon.
And Team Voltron had to watch their friend die for the second time.
A/N - Tomorrow will be a special birthday update! Lance's birthday is tomorrow so you will get some extra Langst. And by that I mean, an angsty bday story.
