Entering her mid twenties, Spencer Hastings was just getting her first job. She was teaching history at a local high-school after getting her degree very easily. She was the kind of person that did everything they tried successfully.
That's how she was, bright, smart and beautiful for that matter. She worked very hard to arrive where she did and was finally settling down in the big Apple.

Every once in a while, she was meeting with a colleague after class to relax a bit. Their favorite place to meet was this French Café called "La colombe sucrée" and that's where Spencer was on this Friday at 6pm.

"Hey Spence. Sorry I'm late, I had a meeting with one of the parents and she wouldn't let go of me!"

"Let me guess" Spencer answered

"Timmy's mother!" They both said at the same time, laughing

"Damn Emily we're sooo mean this poor kid"

"Aww, we're just having some fun. Timmy's real nice, just a bit disturbing sometimes" she laughed

Emily is Spencer's colleague as you may have understood. Emily Field.
Just like Spencer, she's in her mid twenties and is a P.E teacher at the same high-school.
She's pretty nice and totally adorable. Emily is the kind of friend you can always call when you're down and she'll come right after you to make you smile: the type of friend you're really to find at some point in your life.
Even though she's young, Emily is already engaged to someone and has been in the same relationship for 7 years now, something that Spencer admires.
They met at the beginning of this year on the first day at lunch, both being the newbies -yep, high-school never change even as a teacher- thy decided to eat together and they quickly got along very well.

After chatting about school around a cappuccino for half an hour, Emily made Spencer notice that some guy was watching her.

"Look, cutie at eight o'clock. You should go talk to him"

"Em'! I'm way too shy to do this. Plus I'm sure it's some creep that just want to get laid. I'm not in high-school anymore. I want something real, I want what you and Alison have" [Alison is Emily's fiancée we were talking about earlier]

"Spencer let me ask you something. How long has it been since you've had sex?"

"7 months" Spencer coughed

"Say that again?"

"7 months okay?! It's no big deal"

"Spencer you need to have some fun!"

"I don't care about fun! I'm sick of sleeping around with some guys I barely know. I did that in college and stopped the second I arrive the New York and I'm happy about it. So no, I won't go talk to random guy n.3 who wants my ass"

"Humhum" Emily answered while sipping her cappuccino "But you do realize that you need to talk to guys if you want to start a real relationship right?"

"I know" she sighted "But I'm too shy."

"You should try online dating sites then" Emily offered "There are so many now you'll find someone"

"Yeah" Spencer laughed "Like online dating ever worked for someone. I told you, I want something real not just a one night stand"

"Interesting what you're saying since you told me you wanted a Relationship like me and Alison"

"So? "

"Well, you should know that Alison and I met on a dating site back when I was 17. Long story short, I lost a bet so I joined and had to have at least one date with some random girl. Guess that turned out perfectly"
