Hey so here is chapter 20. I don't think it's that long and not much happens, but what does happen is a key part of the story. I hope you enjoy and let me know what you think.

Chapter twenty
Dimitri
I stared down at the page of the book in front of me. I was glued tight to the spot on my bed that I had occupied. My eyes reading the page I was looking at before re-reading it again and again. I couldn’t believe it. ‘Are my eyes deceiving me?’ I asked myself as I tried to soak up the information. I could feel the excitement bubbling up in me as a smile stretched out across my face.
The melting feeling washed over me as I began to unfreeze from my shocked state. I stood up and placed a small piece of paper into the large hardback book and closed it. Slipping it under the pillows on my bed I grabbed my jacket and left the house.
The excitement I felt was almost too much. I practically ran my way to school, obviously unnoticed, and slithered through the still open school gates. Slowing down to a gentle jog I reduced my speed to a walk as I lifted my arm to check the time. I smiled widely again. It would be lunch time when I got to school and I would be able to catch Lydia easily.
The hallways were deserted as I had suspected and was able to manoeuvre my way around the school with ease. A loud bustling noise combined with the voices of many people floated through the air towards me. I walked closer to the canteen and the noises grew louder until I was standing in the doorway and the source of the noise was in front of me.
Tables where sloppily scattered around the large room as people tried to cram as many of their friends around the different tables. The lunch line was snaked around the edge of the canteen as hungry kids waited to get their lunch. I scanned the line with my eyes and couldn’t find Lydia. I scanned my eyes over the rest of the canteen but I still couldn’t find her. Frowning I swept my eyes once more over the sea of people and my eyes found hers.
She looked up at me and smiled. I didn’t smile back I didn’t want to draw attention to the fact I was here. I lifted my hand and motioned for her to leave the canteen and follow me. I turned around and left walking back down the still deserted hallway I had come up. I noticed a door leading into a cupboard, a descent place for us to talk undetected. I peeled open the door and shimmied in. the door closed behind me and I stood in silence, listening for Lydia coming down the corridor.
After a few moments I heard small tentative steps walk past the door. I scrambled around for the door handle and opened the door. “Lydia in here” I called out to her and she backtracked, walked into the cupboard and closed the door. “What’s up?” she asked me and I noticed her clutching her bag tightly. I smiled weakly as I thought about what to say. But I didn’t need to say anything. “I saw my parents” she told me suddenly blurting it out. My eyes widened in shock. I remember Oriana telling me that Lydia’s parents had gone to America and left her here. “When?” I asked and she shrugged. “Saturday on the way back from a party, in the middle of the road” she told me and I knew I looked confused about the situation. “Anyway what did you want?” she asked changing the subject completely making the subject drop and I let it, for now.
I looked at her and began. “Well I was looking through someone my father’s books at home and I found something”. As I said this I saw her visibly tense.
“You found something?” she whispered and I nodded back. It suddenly clicked in her mind and a wide smile crossed over my face and a symmetrical one crossed hers. It was silent for a moment as she thought things over. I smiled even wider at her and elaborated slightly. “I found something and I think this is it. I think I’ve found exactly what we need”.
