I awoke to the sound of whispers, I sat up on the sofa and peeked back to see Micah talking to a young man by the front desk.
"Micah?" I said as I rubbed my eyes, "who's that?"
Micah looked over his shoulder at me as I stood up from the sofa, it was odd that I did recognize the man that was talking to him.
He wore thick specs because of his bad eye vision, he had black hair and wore a smile across his thin lips.
I walked over and stood next to Micah. "Hello Lem," I greeted him, "I bet you already know what we are all doing here."

Micah bit his bottom lip as I nudged him gently, "you two know each other?" He asked.
"We're acquainted," I told him, "it was Jack that introduced me to him."
Micah nodded his head, "I see, so you two are friends with that dark cloud looking monster?"
"Well, not anymore," Lem finally spoke after a long moment of silence, "after I heard about what had happened at the hospital, I've decided to breck up our friendship for good."

And that was the best thing you could do? I thought. You know he will come after you for that.

Why did he do that? Doesn't he not know about what will happen to him? And I thought friendships last forever but, not this time.
"How did you and Jack meet?" Micah questioned.
Lem looked at me and then back to Micah, he looks down at the floor as if deep in thought, "we met at Choate," he said, "we've met by mistake actually."
"I see," Micah replied, "was he human when you first met?"
Lem shook his head as he responded to him, "no, he wasn't human at all, he told me that he was born with the monster inside of him."

Born? How was that even possible? How could you be born with a beast inside of you without even noticing it at a young age?

I mean, what the heck.

This world was getting freaking stranger by the second. Micah looked at me, his face was confused, "what?" He whispered to me, "that's impossible, how was he-"
I interrupted him, "it's possible in this world."
Micah nodded his head in agreement as if he already knew my answer from the top of his head, "yeah, that's true."

Lem scanned me from head to toe and I knew what he was thinking, "man, Jack was right about you being so beautiful," he said as a huge grin stretched across his lips.
I just rolled my eyes at him and said, "well he was lying to you my friend."
Lems' eyebrows rose, "well-"
"He was lying to you," I interrupted him, "did you even believe him when he told you that?"
"Yes, he's my best friend and-"
"He was you're best friend," I shouted suddenly, "why do you want to still be friends? You just broke you're friendship with him, you said that just now."
"I did," Lem snapped, "I did break my friendship with Jack because of you, Jack really loves you Tranessa, you just don't see it yet."

I couldn't believe what I just heard, Jack loves me? Was he for real? I glanced over at Micah who was staring at Lem, his mouth was dropped open and his face looked stunned now.
"When did he say this to you?" I asked surprised.
Lems' face softened, "yesterday evening, I've seen him at the hospital before you came by and that's when he told me."

"Oh my gosh," I heard Micah gasp, he turns his head to face me slowly, "is he joking? Please tell me he's joking?"
I was about to answer him when the sound of the hotel doors groaned open, Micah shot a glare over to the now, frightened nurses, "it's Jack!" One of them screamed, "his here to finish us off for good!"
The door opened fully as a thin shadow towers the nurses.
The silhouette walked through the door and into the lobby that we stayed in, the nurses were screaming and cursing under their breath as Jack grabbed one of them by the hair, she cried and thrashed around begging him to let her go.

"Let me go please," she weeps as she still struggled in his grip, "let me go."
The monster growls into her face as she turns her head to the left with her eyes closed, we've got to do something before he hurts her and it's me he wants.
"Put her down!" Jack looked over a shoulder as I stepped forward, "put her down, its me you want."
Jack did as he was told and let's go of the nurse, she held her head in pain, "thank you," she said, her voice was cracked, "thank you."

I kept my eyes fully focused on the monster before me as he began walking in slow, steady steps.
His yellow glowing eyes scanned me from head to toe as he came face to face with me, his hot breath touched my neck and he kissed me on the cheek, I don't flinch.
"Don't hurt her," Micah whispered, "d-don't hurt her."
Jack looked at him and grinned, Micah took a few steps back as I saw fear run through his eyes.

"Your not the one that loves her," Jack hissed, "your nothing but a useless human that is trying to take her away from me."
"That's a lie," Micah clenched his teeth as the words accidentally left his lips, "I was helping her and how do you still love Tranessa when you tried to kill her?"
Jack flared his nostrils in disgust but, didn't say anything else as Micah pushed him, "why did you try to kill her?"
Suddenly, Jack roared and grabbed Micah by the throat, I screamed as I tried to get him off of him but, Jack threw me, I flew and landed on a table.

I sat up as pain shot up from the back of my head, Lem ran over up me and helped me off the table, "he's going to kill him," Lem breathed as he shot a glare over to his former friend who was now holding Micah by the neck, he lifted him up until his feet no longer touched the floor.

"Stop!" I cried, "stop, put him down!"

But he ignores me and shoved Micah against a wall. As he was about plant his sharp canines into Micahs' neck, we heard the sound of another growl, we all turned our heads to see a huge white wolf standing a few feet away from Jack.
It gave out a shattering roar as its muscles tensed, Jack threw Micah aside as the wolf launched itself, it's large paws tackled and pinned Jack against the wall right were Micah was just at a few seconds ago.
I watched in terror as Jack struggled in the wolf's grip, he was hissing and baring his fangs.

Micah shot up to his feet and runs over to me as I heard the familiar sound of bones cracking, we both watched as Jack shifts into his human form.
The wolf hesitates and lets go of him, Jack lands on his back as the wolf stares him down.
He stands up and looks over at me, I rose both of my eyebrows as a huge grin formed on his face.

Doesn't he not realize that he killed a nurse and scared the living crap out of Micah?

But, who was the wolf?

Just then, another sound of gross bone cracking was heard, I walked up closer to the wolf as it layed on its side, holding its stomach and yelping from the pain.
"Tranessa," I hear Micah whisper, "get back over here."
I stopped and glanced over a shoulder at him as the sound of growls turned into human screams, I didn't say anything to him when I looked forward again to see a half-naked man on his hands and knees gasping for air.

He looked up at me and that's when my mouth dropped in complete shock.
