I awoken to the sound of someone banging on the door, I shot up and quickly climbed out of bed as Joe Jr burst through the door.
He looked angry for some reason and he looked like he was about to blow at any second.

"What did I do?" I cocked my head to the side in confusion as Joe Jrs' hollow breaths became load enough for me to hear.
"You didn't do anything," Joe Jr swallowed hard as his face softened, "I just wanted to be alone for a while, I'm sorry I had to barge in here like this."

"What happened?" And then I noticed the blood dripping down from his bruised nose, I watched him wipe some of the blood away with the sleeve of his sweater, "oh my gosh," I gasped.
"I got into a fight," Joe Jr replied as he walked over to my bed and sat down, "with Lem."

"What did he do to you?"

Joe Jr bit down on his bottom lip as his face turned red with embarrassment, "we were-" he paused, "fighting over you."

"Fighting over me?" I repeated in disbelief, "and why are you two fighting over me?"
"Because..." Joe Jr swallowed a big lump in his throat, "your beautiful."
My eyes went wide as I placed my hands on my hips, what Lem did to Joe Jr was just childish heck, this whole freaking thing was childish.

I didn't say anything as Joe Jr looked up at me with blood gushing out of his probably broken nose.

"Wait here," I said as I walked into the bathroom to grab some healing cream and a damp washcloth, I got what I needed and walked out of the bathroom.

Joe Jr saw me with the cream in my hand as I walked over to him, "does this stuff actually work?" I asked as I sneezed the clear stuff on to my finger, "we don't have this type of medicine in my world."

Joe Jr nodded his head as I went ahead and rubbed the cream on to his nose, a few moments later, his nose was fully healed.
I gasped as if I didn't believe it, "it worked," I gave the wet washcloth to Joe Jr so he could go ahead and wipe what was left of the blood, "it worked."

Joe Jr touched the bottom of his nose and pulled his hand slowly away to see the blood on his fingertips, then he wiped away the blood that was still there with the washcloth.
"I'm sorry about this," Joe Jr apologized as he handed me back the now bloody washcloth.

"It's fine," I told him, "is Lem okay?"

Joe Jr nodded his head, "he dodged me before I could even get a punch to his face," Joe Jr rubbed the back of his neck, "thank gosh Jack stopped us or I could've hurted Lem pretty bad."
"Jack?" I said, "did you hurt him too?"
"No." Joe Jr stood up from the bed and walked over to the bedroom door, before he stepped outside he looked over his shoulder, "oh by the way, Jack wants to talk to you about something." And then he was gone.

I don't know why I didn't want to come out of this room, well, at least I wasn't bothering nobody but, why does Jack want to talk to me? I already knew that freakshow was lying in the first place.
Maybe he was just worried about me because I almost got killed by a psychotic women.

I sighed and walked out of the bedroom.
I was walking down the hallway in silence until I reached the living room, I took a seat on the sofa and waited.

"She was lying to you Tranessa," the voice startled me as Jack took a seat next to me, "to be honest with you, I've never saw that women in my life."
"Yeah, I know," I said to him. Jack noticed the cut on my cheek, "did I do that to you?" He asked, concerned.
I shook my head as I responded, "your monster gave me the cut because it threw something under the counter," I gave him an angry glare, "that was where me and that women were hiding."

"From me?" Jack asked as he couldn't believe what I was saying, "but why? You know I'll never hurt you in my other form."

And that was true, his monster never harmed me sense I've been here, well, except the burn mark on my palm he gave me which, that's healed now.

"Joe Jr told me that you stopped a fight," I changed the subject as Jack looped his arm around my neck and shoulders.
"Yeah," Jack said, "My brother was already banged up when I stopped Lem from throwing a punch to his face."
"I saw that," I replied, "his nose was bruised up pretty bad, bad enough that I had to give him medical attention."
Jack looked at me funny, "you had to give my brother medical attention?"
I nodded my head.
"Well he's not tougher then I thought, usually he will try start a yelling match with a random person."

I chuckled, "really?"
"Yes," Jack said as I layed my head on his shoulder, he feels warm and comfortable, it feels like I could lay on him for hours.
"I wonder what my parents will thank of you when I get home," I whispered softly.

"You're parents?" Jack replied as I lifted up my head to look at him.
"Yeah," I smiled, "there good people."

"What do they do for a living?"

"Well, my mother is a real estate agent and my dad is a college professor at OSU."
Jack nodded his head in impression as if he was proud my parents work, "my father is a politician," he said, "and my mother, well, she just travels."

"Travels? Where?" I asked, curiously.
Jack started to stroke my hair as he tells me, "anywhere."
I nodded my head as I stood up from the sofa, "wait, where are you going Tranessa?" Jack asked as he jumped up to his feet.
"Whoa chill, I was just going to the kitchen." And then I walked into the kitchen as Jack didn't say another word to me.
I looked into the refrigerator and found a plate of chocolate-chip cookies, I haven't had a good treat sense I left home and I couldn't help but notice that, nobody was eating them so, there probably for me. I grabbed the plate of the cookies and sat them down on the counter, I looked around before I could take one. I was the only sneaky child in my family, my parents would get mad because I would take some of the cake the nanny made for them without getting there permission, well, I was little then and there not here.

"Hey, what are you doing with those?" I was about to take a bite out of my cookie until Lem snatched it away from me, I shot him an angry glare and said sternly to him, "you have got some nerve to take something from a lady."
"But, these are not yours," he didn't seem angry at all, "my mother made these for me because she thought I had won the fight with Joseph."

My eyes went wide, what type of mother would allow her son to start a fight and get awarded for it? My parents never did that to Brielle and I, they thought if we started something (which we never did) we would get punished for it.

"Your mother made these for you?" I asked, completely stunned, "for hurting Joe Jr."
"Listen Tranessa, he was the one that started it and I was the one that had to stop it," Lem told me.

"No, it was Jack that stopped it so...get your freaking facts straight." I had no idea what the heck was going on here, "who told you that?" Lem asked.
"Joe Jr."
"Do you realize that Joseph was lying to you?"

I had nothing else to say to him, I just walked out of the kitchen.
