"Finally another girl to talk too!" Grimm said as she ran over to Addison a large grin across her face.
Addison spun around and faced Grimm. Addison looked into her pure white eyes and looked at her snow white hair. It all seemed so fake. Everyone except Andrew seemed like something off of a movie or from a dream.
"I'll show her around Big Daddy." Grimm said as she patted the metal walls of the ship. "You get us going, Andrew. We don't want the Earthlings to see us."
Andrew nodded and he hopped into one of the seats in the cockpit and began to flip switches and push buttons . Addison saw Rocco appear in the set next to Andrew and began to help him.
"Oh my stars!" Grimm exclaimed, "It's so awesome to finally have another girl to talk to. It gets old with boys and awkward."
Addison still was feeling uneasy about everything. She didn't answer she glanced around the spaceship. Everything was so high-tech. Lights flashed blue and red and machines whirred. Pipes crawled up the walls and across the ceiling.
Grimm sighed, "Sorry. This probably is very awkward and scary for you." Grimm smiled, "I just wanna tell you, you aren't in any trouble, we're here to save you."
As Addison returned Grimm a smile she felt the spaceship begin to whirr and they began to move upwards. Addison glanced out a small circular window. She saw that they were flying upwards above the city. Addison walked over to the window and pressed her hands against the glass as she watched them fly above the city. The sight was gorgeous. The sun was just rising above the city and lighting up the buildings with a bright orange. As she glanced around she saw hot air balloons gently gliding in the sky below them. The sun and the balloons were a great sight. Something Addison would cherish, a memory. She would know this as the beginning of an adventure.
"Woah..." Addison whispered to herself, "I wish I had a camera."
"You can borrow mine." She heard a males voice say from behind her.
Addison spun around and almost smacked Andrew when she did. A smile on Andrews face.
"Oh!" Addison exclaimed, "Sorry didn't see you there."
Andrew laughed, "It's fine." He reached into the pocket of his vest and pulled out a white Polaroid camera. "Here," he handed it to her.
Addison took the camera and smiled, "Thanks." Andrew nodded.
Addison turned back to the window and held the camera out, the view was still awesome. Addison snapped a picture and the little photo slowly emerged from the top. She took it and handed the camera back to Andrew. He then also took the picture from Addison's hands. She watched as he walked over to the back of the ship where a large wooden board with many pictures on it hung. Andrew took the picture Addison had taken and stuck it on the board near the bottom.
Addison walked over to Andrew's side who was admiring the board.
"What's this?" She asked.
Andrew turned and faced her, "It's our board of memories."
Addison looked around the board at the very top in the left corner was a single picture of Andrew and Danez standing in front of the ship surrounded by trees as if they were in a forest. Next to that photo was another picture of Andrew and another man Addison did not recognize. They were both smiling happily. This man, he had orange skin and a bald head. He had a single missing tooth in his top row of teeth. He wore a black leather jacket but no shirt and black leather pants.
Addison tilted her head a bit.
"Who's this?" She pointed to the man.
Andrew let out a long sigh and frowned.
"That's my godfather, Candaler. I didn't like him much, he was fun at some times but rarely. He was jerk to me and beat me if I didn't listen. He'd only be fun if me and him were out in public." Andrew explained.
Addison turned and faced Andrew, "What happened to your real parents?"
Andrew sighed again, "Candaler told me they were murdered by Illuminate back on Earth. They say my dad worked for him and betrayed him so they ran away to earth to escape but Illuminate found them."
Addison hung her head down low and rocked on her heels awkwardly, "Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to bring back any harsh memories."
Andrew seemed to escape his sad state and shrugged, "Nah, it's nothing, it was years ago."
Addison smiled slightly and glanced back up at the board and noticed that slowly through pictures the other two members of The Outcasts were being added. First came Rocco, then after a few funny photos of the three men being weirdos came Grimm. They all looked happy together.
"Wow..." Addison began, "So you guys really do go through and get people who feel lost and help them."
Andrew nodded, "And we take a group photo with every new recruit." He turned and smiled at Addison, pulling out his camera again.
"Okay fine." She said.
Andrew smiled and the two left the memory board and gathered the other three around. Addison glanced out the window once more and noticed they'd entered space and she hadn't even noticed.
The group crowded together and Andrew held out the camera in front of them. He smiled widely and Rocco crossed his eyes and stuck out his tongue. Grimm did bunny ears behind Andrew and Danez just sat there with a serious look with his arms crossed. Addison couldn't think of anything else to do and casual did jazz hands. Andrew snapped the picture and pulled it out when it emerged from the top. He looked at it and chuckled. He then placed it next to the hot air ballon picture on the memory board. Rocco walked up to Addison and laughed.
"Seems your now officially part of the group if your on the memory board." He laughed.
Addison did a small chuckle back and when he walked off she let out a long sigh. This was it. She'd found what she'd hope to be new friends and family. There was no turning back. She was now stuck with the Outcasts forever. It didn't seem so bad anymore, she actual had a good feeling about it. She knew she'd make many good memories to add to the board with them. Memories she'd never forget.
