The school bell rang throughout the school, dismissing the students to go home. Addison quickly sat up in history class and went out the door quickly. She walked through the hallway quick, carefully not to dump into anyone. She didn't feel like talking to anyone, she just wanted to go home and send her letter to Andrew.
Addison dodged and ducked through the crowds. She could see the exit of the school just feet in front of her before she tripped over someone's foot and fell down into the bustling crowd. She caught herself by her hands and moved her hair from her face. She groaned in annoyance and pain because she had hit her knees hard on the floor.
Addison tried to stand up but someone grabbed her by the hand and helped her up. She looked up at the figure to see a tall boy with wavy, long, dirty blonde hair. She blinked at his blue eyes, she had never seen him before.
"Are you alright?" He asked her.
Addison realized she was still holding onto his hand and quickly swiped her hand away, "Oh. Um, ya. Thanks." Her entire face went red.
He smiled at her, "You're Addison, right?"
She nodded, "Ya..."
"Nice to meet you! I'm Jason." He replied, he then paused, "Huh, I've never seen you here before."
"Ya. Today is my first day back after a month." Addison said, rubbing the back of her head nervously.
"Oh! Makes sense, I just moved in this semester." Jason replied, "Also what grade you in?"
"Ninth."
"Oh. That also explains, I'm in tenth." Jason said with a smile, "Well nice to meet you Addison."
Jason passed her and disappeared into the crowd. Addison watched as he left. She found it odd he didn't even mention 'Alien Girl'.
Addison walked off soon later and out of the school where she saw her sister pulled up at the curb. Addison hopped into the passenger seat and was greeted by a tiny little hug from behind.
"Addi! You're alive!" A familiar, young voice cried.
Addison turned around to see her little brother Wyatt beaming with joy in the back seat.
"Wyatt! I missed you!" Addison exclaimed as she hugged him back.
"Aliens!" Wyatt began, "You were taken by real life aliens!"
Addison chuckled, "Ya, I guess so."
Charlotte watched as Wyatt went back and forth about aliens and how awesome Addison was. She slightly smiled before driving off again. Her hands clenched tight on the wheel. Her eyes darted from the road to Addison occasionally.
It didn't take long until they returned to the apartment complex. Wyatt hopped out of the car, his large backpack weighing his tiny body down as he wobbled his way up the stairs to their home. Addison went quickly to follow after him but Charlotte quickly stopped her by the shoulder.
"Addi..." she slowly began.
Addison glanced around at her sister, "Yes?"
"Can we talk?" Charlotte stated, her tone very dull and serious.
Addison's figure hunched and bit, "What's up?"
Charlotte twisted her hands nervously together. She took a deep breath, "I'm worried about you."
Addison looked at Charlotte, "About what?"
"About what happened." Her sister replied rubbing her palms together.
Addison sighed, "It's over. It'll be fine, I'm fine. They won't come back..." she told her, she could feel the tears trying to escape her eyes but she held them back.
Charlotte nodded, "There's something I should tell you. Now would be a good time..."
Addison eyed her sister as she struggling to mutter the words.
"After all this happened I think it's perfect timing. It's going to be complitcated. I really have been trying to hide this from you but now that this happened to you it's going to be okay. I hope. Well, um, it's-"
"Just say it already!" Addison interuppted trying to force the words from Charlotte's mouth.
Charlotte let out a long sigh and nodded, "Okay." She moved her hair from her eyes before speaking, "That symbol on your wrist. The 'I'..."
Addison glanced down at her wrist and stared at Illuminate's mark, she swallowed hard, "Yes?" She questioned."
Charlotte breathed out, "Ugh, this is gonna sound weird." She rubbed her forehead and clenched her eyes tightly.
Addison looked to her wrist and back at her older sister. What did she know?
"Okay. Okay." Charlotte muttered, "I know about it..."
Addison raised an eyebrow, "Know about it...? What do you mean? Of course you know about it, you can see it."
Charlotte shook her head, "No, no, I mean I know the symbol. I know him. I know who Illuminate is..."
Addison's jaw dropped. She froze, paralyzed with shock. How in the world did she know!?
"H-how..!?" Addison squeaked in shock.
Charlotte laughed nervously, "It's a long story..." she rubbed the back of her head awkwardly.
"Tell me!" Addison demanded.
Charlotte nodded, "First let's go inside. Wyatt's been waiting."
Addison agreed and the two sisters left the parking lot and returned back to their home. Addison was still in shock, she needed an explanation. Charlotte had known everything from the very beginning about him! Addison could only wonder what more things her sister knew! Did she know about The Outcasts!?
