Addison's heart suddenly dropped, her expression fell, "Already..?" She sputtered out looking at Candaler with pleading eyes, hoping that this news was false but his expression said it all.
Jason looked at Addison and back at Candaler, "What? Illuminate?"
Addison turned to Jason with a pained look, she sighed, "I'm sorry Jason." She plainly said, "I've dragged you into something deep."
Jason stared at her with wide eyes, "Uh... can you please tell me who this Illuminate guy is?"
Addison looked at the other Outcasts, who were now all staring at them, fear in their eyes, "Illuminate. He's a very evil man, he's been trying to hunt us down for a while now, we aren't sure of his intentions this time, but he hates us, like, a lot."
Jason's face fell, "Oh..." he quietly said.
Candaler looked at Addison and then Jason and sighed, "Well we better get moving." He said with a deep sigh, breaking the awkward silence.
Addison nodded, Andrew came to her side and put a comforting hand on her shoulder as he saw the tears gather in her eyes. Jason watched from the side, trying to gather everything.
"Addison..." Andrew quietly said to her, "I'm sorry, I-"
"Don't be sorry, Andrew, you've done nothing." Addison choked out, with a fake smile on her face as she looked Andrew in the eyes.
"I know, I just, I don't know... I feel bad that this is what you're greeted to." Andrew sighed.
Addison nodded before rubbing the side of her face and laying her head on Andrew's shoulder and sobbed, "I just wish I knew what he wanted! He's already tortured me enough, I don't want to deal with him anymore! One time was enough for me!"
Andrew looked at the poor girl and laid his head on hers and put a comforting hand on her head and ran his fingers through her hair, he was in tears now. He gently rubbed her head and looked up at Jason who was staring at Addison as she sobbed with a worried look in his eyes.
Suddenly Addison took a deep breath, lifted her head a swallowed a deep and shaken breath, "Well then, let's get to it."
Andrew nodded and gave her a warm and caring smile, Addison returned it to him and looked at Candaler who leaned up against one of the two seats in the cockpit, his arms crossed and a stern look on his face, "You done?" He asked raising both eyebrows at her.
Addison chuckled lightly and wiped her tears, "Yes, now let's go please, we don't want to waste anymore time."
Candaler nodded his head and quickly whipped around and sat himself down in the drivers seat of the spaceship. He spun around in the front seat of the space ship and immediately began pressing at the buttons and with the gentle push of a lever they began to zoom away.
"So where to now?" Andrew asked as he sat himself down in the empty seat next to Candaler.
Candaler shrugged and continued staring out the window at the thousands of stars ahead, "Just somewhere, away from him."
"You really do care about her don't ya?" Andrew asked with a smile on his face as he looked over his shoulder at Addison who was chatting with Jason in the back.
"Well ya, she's one of us now." Candaler responded, slightly glancing at Andrew who still stared at the young girl, Candaler smiled slightly, "You like her don't cha?"
Andrew's face quickly turned to face Candaler, his freckled face had gone red, "Well, I, um-" Andrew nervously rubbed his head, "ya kind of..." he quietly muttered. "But she seems to like that Jason kid and he is closer to her age."
