Jason walked Addison back to her apartment, even though it was only two apartments away.
"Thanks." Addison shyly said to him.
"No problem." Jason replied giving her an awkward side hug.
Addison watched as he walked down the hall to his apartment and waved him goodbye as he entered his apartment. Addison opened the door to her apartment and closed it behind her before leaning back on it and sighing with happiness. She could feel her love for Jason growing.
Charlotte later entered the room from down the hall and saw Addison, leaning against the door. She eyed her suspiciously.
"What are you doing?" Charlotte questioned raising an eyebrow at Addison.
Addison straightened herself and stared at Charlotte awkwardly, "Nothing..."
Charlotte rolled her eyes at Addison before pointing backwards towards her bedroom, "That bot of yours is pounding on your window and it's driving me crazy."
Addison gasped and smiled. Andrew must've replied! She quickly ran towards her room, pushing Charlotte to the side as she went down the hall.
Addison burst through her bedroom door and quickly leaped onto her bed and swung open the window and let the little bot fly in. She grabbed it out of the air and it immediately shut itself down and she sat it on her bed and opened it up and a neatly folded letter was inside. Addison quickly reached inside and pulled out the paper but her heart immediately sank down when she saw the marking of an 'I' carefully drawn on the front of the paper."Oh my goodness..." Addison gasped to herself.
She slowly and hesitantly unfolded the piece of paper and inside was bold and straight handwriting. She took a deep breath before she began reading it.
It read: Oh, so your name is Addison, eh? Well I've finally got you now thanks to that bot your so called friends gave you. You can run but you can't hide, Addison. I'm coming for you.
- IlluminateAddison's heart jumped to her throat and she folded the letter back up. Illuminate knew exactly where she was from the coordinates programmed in the bot.
Addison slipped off her bed and looked around her room, what was she going to do? She had to get out of that place. She needed to disappear again. Addison quickly grabbed her backpack from off the ground that was leaning against her bed and dumped out all her books and school supplies. She stuffed the letter in her back pocket and gathering clothes and other personal belongs to take with her.
She zipped up the backpack and swung it over her shoulder before rushing out of her room and down the short hallway. She entered the living room where Charlotte sat in the middle of the floor playing cars with Wyatt.
Addison snuck behind Charlotte and went for the front door. She reached for the doorknob but before her hand even touched the knob she heard Wyatt's innocent voice from behind her.
"Where are you going Addi?" He questioned her.
Addison clenched her eyes shut in annoyance and spun around to space him, an awkward smile on her face.
Charlotte turned and looked at Addison.
"Ya, where are you going?" Charlotte asked her as she stood up.
"Just um, over to a friend's house..." Addison lied as she grabbed the doorknob behind her and slowly turned it.
Charlotte eyed Addison suspiciously, before sitting back down on the ground, "Okay. Go."
Addison let out a sigh of relief before she opened up the door and exited the apartment, closing the door behind her before she ran for it. Addison sprinted down the long hallway and ran down the steps, skipping a step every so often.
As she reached the bottom she bolted through the lobby and burst through the glass doors.
She looked around the parking lot, her eyes darting everywhere. She was ready to sprint off again until she felt a soft tap on her shoulder. She gasped and spun around quickly to find Jason standing right behind her with a handful of envolopes.
"Hey Addison. What you doing?" He asked her with a soft smile.
"Oh! Jason! Hi, I was just um, grabbing the mail also..." She hastily responded to him.
"Oh, well the mail boxes are in the lobby..." Jason awkwardly corrected her.
Addison quickly cracked an odd smile and laugh, "Oh, ya. Ha, I forgot..."
Jason raised an eyebrow before faking a laugh also. Addison quickly pushed past him and returned to where all the mailboxes were lined against the walls on the lobby.
"Oh dear. I must've forgotten my key..." Addison laughed to herself before she turned back, "I think it's in our car. Well bye Jason."
Addison went to leave again but Jason put his hand on her shoulder, "Wait. Let me walk you out there."
Addison turned to him. She was ready to decline his kind offer but the soft and sweet expression on his face stopped her. She nodded, "Oh alright..."
Addison and Jason walked outside of the apartment complex and into the parking lot where they approached Charlotte's car. Addison stood there awkwardly next to the car for a short while before Jason spoke up.
"Uh, are you going to get it...?" He asked eyeing her oddly.
"Oh. Um ya..." Addison responded slowly putting her hand on the door handle but the second she got a grasp on it a blue light beamed down on them.
