The Outcasts

Chapter 12 -Him-

Addison was very glad when she finally was able to learn the truth about why her only friends were ignoring her.

It'd been a tiring night and everyone wanted to rest. Candaler led everyone down to the bottom of his ship where a nice row of three metal bunk beds stood bolted to the floor. There was no blankets on them just old stained and torn mattresses.

Addison walked over to the one in the center of the three and climbed her way up to the top bunk and laid down with a long sigh. Grimm joined her on the bottom bunk. Andrew and Rocco took one and Danez and Candaler shared the last.

After about thirty minutes the room was filled with loud snores from, Candaler and Danez. Addison rolled over to one side and looked down at Andrew and Rocco. Rocco took the top bunk and was sound asleep, curled up in a small ball like a dog. His tail halfway wrapped around himself.

Addison them glanced down at Andrew on the bottom bunk. He slept with his arms spread wide, with one hanging off the side. Addison had almost forgotten about his dog, Starla, but remembered when she saw her curled up at the end of the bed.

Addison returned back to her sleeping position and stared up at the pipes that ran all 'round the ceiling. She sighed once again.

"Grimm?" She whispered softly, "Are you awake?"

There was no answer, but Addison could hear movement from below her. The bed wiggled and squeaked.

"Grimm? Are you awake?" She asked again, a bit louder.

Again no answer. Addison turned over onto her stomach and hung herself over the edge of the bed to look down at Grimm. But what laid there was not Grimm! It was Illuminate!

He lay on his side with his elbow against the mattress and his hand supporting his head, as if he was some kind of model, but Grimm was missing.

Illuminate looked up at Addison. His lights lit up the entire bottom half of the bunk and his normal bearded face and red eyes flickered out and a large evil grin of lights flashed on his face before returning back to normal.

Addison's heart rate changed dramatically and was about to burst. Where was Grimm and how did Illuminate get here!?

She quickly brought her head back up. She heard Illuminate moved from the bottom and rose. He was tall, about six foot and his lights shine brightly in my face as he turned to face me. He had no mouth but a beard of blue lights and red light eyes.

Addison quickly spun around and hopped off the top bunk and quickly ran to Andrew's bed, Illuminate following quickly after her. When Addison got to Andrew she about tackled him to wake him up.

"Andrew!" She screamed.

Illuminate grabbed her from behind and pulled her off of Andrew. He held her above the ground, with his arms tightly around eat waist. He covered her mouth with one of his hands.

Andrew quickly sat up and hit his head on the top of Rocco's bed.

"Ouch!" He yelled, grasping the top of his head.

Addison tried to scream but then the lights of Illuminate flickered and he suddenly disappeared with a flash, it was a strange feeling when Illuminate suddenly disappeared, dropping Addison, his tight grasp was quickly released and everything around her just faded off. Addison was dropped to the hard ground with a loud thump on her chest.

She let out a loud gasp and rolled over to her back and grasped her chest with one hand. She squeezed her shirt and her heart pounded like a drum. Her chest went up and down slowly as she tried to get herself together, she was petrified with fear. Her mind stirred in many directions. She tried to focus herself when she saw Andrew leaning over her, his face painted with fear.

"Addison!" He gasped, "Holy crap, what happened!" He grabbed her by the forearm and pulled her up. He was surprisingly strong.

He helped her onto his bed and she sat up, still holding her chest. She seemed not able to let go.

"Addison what happened!?" Andrew repeated sitting next to her.

"I-Illuminate!" She managed to gasp out, "He was here! Grimm she's missing, I-I think he took her!"

Andrew quickly glanced over to Grimm's bed and back at Addison with confusion all over her face.

"Addison." He began, "Grimm's not missing."

"What?" Addison gasped standing up and looking over at Grimm's bed, and she lie there fast asleep as if nothing happened.

"That's impossible! I swear, she was gone and Illuminate was there instead!" Addison exclaimed rushing over to Grimm's side.

Andrew followed her over, "Addison what happened, tell me!" He said turning her to face him. He looked very serious.

Addison took a deep breath to try and calm herself, "I was trying to sleep when I tried to get Grimm's attention but she didn't answer, so I look down at her and instead of her Illuminate was there! I tried to get away b-but then he chased me and that's when I tried to get you but he grabbed me and wouldn't let me go but you woke up and he j-just vanished!" Addison sputtered quickly.

"Calm down, Addi." Andrew said putting a hand on her shoulder, "Everything will be okay."

Addison shook her head, "What if he returns!?"

"Then I'll be here." Andrew said softly before pulling her into a tight hug.

Addison hesitated, but soon returned the hug.

Andrew let go and smiled at her. Addison smiled back, all her fear had faded away.

Not long after it quickly returned when she saw multiple colors of lights flicker behind Andrew and Illuminate returned. He raised a fist high above Andrew's head.

"Andrew, watch out!" Addison screamed.
