Addison creaked open Wyatt's bedroom door quietly. She peered around the door and peeked at Wyatt, who was fast asleep on his bed. Addison smiled at him. She had a feeling. She didn't wanna wake him up. She wanted to find out what was in her room and why she couldn't see it.

Addison closed the door again and she stood outside his room for a while pondering her decision. She wanted to find the strange creature. She soon walked away from the door and too the front door. Addison took a deep breath. She grasped the brass doorknob and turned it gradually. She opened the door and stepped out onto the wooden flooring of the small apartment hallway. She stared down the hall of other rooms. She closed the door behind her and slowly walked down the hallway passing other rooms.

Addison counted as she ran down the creaking wooden steps. No one in the rest of the apartment seemed to be awake. All was quiet.

"Strange...." Addison thought. "Ms. White is usually vacuuming her apartment by now."

Addison shrugged it off and predicted she probably had forgotten or slept in. Addison wouldn't be surprised. They always get complaints from their neighbors for the yelling and racket that Addison and her sister cause. Addison ran out of her apartment and out into the streets. The sun was just rising up over the buildings. Addison glanced over to the trash bin she saw was knocked over. It was now fixed back upright. The street was quiet, only a few cars drove by on the streets. It was just the crack of dawn and the sun only illuminated the tips of the buildings. Addison walked over to the trash can and looked at it.

'Hmm...'

Addison walked where she heard the thing scurry away too. She turned a corner and came to a dark alley. She saw in the mud what seemed to be human handprints and bare footprints that traced in the mud and up onto the brick building. What ever this was or who it was had climbed the brick wall straight up against it.

"How? What?" Addison whispered to herself.

Addison looked up at the tall building towering over her. She noticed the prints climbed all the way to the top of the brick building. Addison glanced around for a way she may be able to get up there and investigate. Her eyes soon landed upon a rusty fire escape ladder. She noticed that it only came up to a window, that was still pretty far from the roof. But Addison still decided to climb it. She grasped both hands onto a bar and began to climb up. The ladder creaked as she climbed, higher, higher and higher. She now was at least three stories up from the ground. Addison glanced back down and the ground below from over her shoulder.

"Oh dear..." Addison muttered.

Addison took a deep breath and tightened her grip and she continued up. As she approached the end of the ladder she came to a window where the ladder had ended. The ground was far below, and she couldn't turn back now. Addison stood on the window sill on the tips of her toes. She extended her arm and tried hard to reach the roof. Her fingers were only inches away. At least the curtains were closed on the other side of the window, if not, whoever was in there would get a surprise on their window.

Addison only had one thing left to do. If she wanted to reach the roof she'd have to jump. Addison took a deep breath and closed her eyes. She could feel her body swaying in fright, for she only had a few inches of room for her feet but she was determined to find this invisible creature. Addison used all the strength she could manage to jump up to the ledge. Addison jumped. Her feet separated from the ground and she quickly extended her arms. Soon she felt her hands grasped into something solid. Addison peeked open one eye and looked around, she had succeeded. Her hands were grasped safely on the edge of the roof. Addison pulled herself up onto the roof. And took a very deep breath of relief. Immediately she noticed the prints of mud and followed them on the roof. But they stopped after few feet and completely disappeared. They were gone.

"What? How, they were just." Addison sputtered.

She looked around the roof for anything that would give her an explanation but she saw nothing.

Addison spun around trying to look but nothing. She had risked her life for nothing! Addison frowned and sat down onto the roof. She hid her face in her hands and sighed. As she sat there sulking she heard a voice, they voice was of a male, his voice was young. He sounded like he was only in his late teens. This is what he spoke.

"Ha! I like you." He said, "You let curiosity get to you, don't ya."

Addison looked up. She saw nothing.

"Who's there?" She called out.

The voice answered, "Over here."

Addison rose from the ground and spun around. No one was there.

"No, no, over here." The voice called again.

Addison spun back around and saw nothing once again. She heard the voice let out a short laugh.

"Wow, you're fun to mess with." He said, "Look up, now."

Addison looked up just as he had said and this time she saw something. A bright blue light. The light was blinding. Addison shielded her eyes from the light. Her jaw had dropped as she gazed up at it.

"Now Addison, I want you to follow my voice..." She heard the voice say from behind her.

Addison slowly turned around and again she saw nothing.

"How do you know my name?" Addison asked.

"I just do..." The voice responded, this time to the left of her.

Addison did as told and turned to his voice and stepped over to where she had heard it.

"Come to the edge..." He said.

Addison didn't know why but she had a strong urge to do it, or some strange force was making her.

"Now jump!" The voice yelled from her side.

Addison gasped, "What! What are you trying to make me do!?"

"Just trust me. You'll be safe." The voice returned.

"I certainly am no-" Addison began but something shoved her from behind and pushed her off the building.

Addison screamed as she fell. She plummeted down toward the concrete street. As the street zoomed closer and closer Addison closed her eyes. She expected to hit the hard ground but she never did.
