Addison headed down the long corridor, it was quiet, to quiet. She wondered where all of Illuminate's little servants had gone.
The lights in the corridor slowly changed colors. Addison wondered why Illuminate had such a unique sense in style, what was his purpose? And most of all, who was behind that mask?
The corridor was empty. The triangular hallway would occasionally change the color of the lights every few seconds.
After a few minutes of trudging through what felt like a colorful maze that would never end Addison began to hear something. This time it wasn't the buzzing of electricity or her heavy footsteps. It was music, groovy, upbeat music. Her head perked up, and she listened carefully. She stepped forwards slowly and tried to picture where it was coming from. She walked forwards and then stopped when she came to a part where the hallway split up. She listened carefully again. It was coming from her left, she turned towards it. She didn't really know why she was going towards the music, she was just curious, her curiosity always got the best or worst of her.
As she walked down now she could now almost hear the music plainly. It had a nice groove to it that made Addison smile. Addison peered down the corridor and noticed a lonley door all by itself. That's where the music had to be coming from.
She walked up to it and placed her hand on the silver doorknob. She hesitated. What if Illuminate was in there? What if she was caught by the robots? She didn't want this to happen but she was dying to know what was going on. After a little bit of going back and forth she decided she was just going to open the door a crack. Just enough for her to see.
Addison slowly and quietly turned the doorknob, careful not to make much sound and pressed the door open a crack and peeked in.
Inside was a very spacious room, that was quite empty. The robots were all lined up against the walls but they looked dead, obviously, they were shut down. The lights were on in this room so she could actually see. The robots were made from a dark metal with lights stringing around their form to create their style.
Addison couldn't see the center of the room so she opened the door a bit more and her eyes went small and her face went as white as a ghost. Her jaw dropped and she couldn't keep her eyes off the sight.
What she saw was terrifying. In the center of the room was a heap of black clothing and radio next to it, blasting the music but what made the scene even more terrible was that there was a man who looked in his early forties with messy red hair, one half of his face seemed to be burned off and his right eye was pure white, he was standing in front of a mirror, dancing the robot, in nothing but his underwear...
Addison's hand slipped and she accidentally pushed the door wide open, but she couldn't move. She was petrified.
The man hadn't noticed her yet, he had his back turned to her and he was very into the music and his dance moves, but then his eyes wandered up to the corner of the mirror and he froze, along with Addison.
His jaw dropped and he screamed. His scream was louder than anything else Addison had heard before. He fumbled for his clothing and desperately tried to cover himself.
"GET OUT OF MY ROOM YOU PERV!!!" He screamed loudly.
Addison gasped and covered her eyes, "M-my eyes!!!" She yelled before turning around and bolting.
Then she heard him yell, "GET BACK HERE! MINIONS, ATTACK!"
Addison was almost in tears from fear and embarrassment. She had just seen Illuminate in his underwear! She just wanted to get out of there!
Addison didn't really know where she was running, she took any turn she could find down the long maze-like corridor.
She could hear heavy, fast, footsteps racing behind her, echoing down the hall.
She stopped at another part where the path forked off. She groaned.
"Really!" She yelled at herself.
She could hear the footsteps getting closer so she ran left, praying they wouldn't turn left.
Addison made a sharp turn around another corner and stopped. She peeked around the corner and watched quietly, her heart thundered.
The bots stopped also where the path forked off. They buzzed and muttered to themselves. After about a minute or two they decided to go right and they all stormed off.
Addison felt a big weight being lifted from her shoulders and she let out a shaky sigh. She turned around and continued walking down the corridor.
This way led her to a room with buttons and pipes all around the walls. A large screen was up against the back wall, almost taking up all of it. It displayed the cameras around the place. Addison could see the bots running down the hallway, chasing nothing. On one other cam, she saw Illuminate. He was fully dressed and wearing his normal, unique, lit up, outfit. He was heading right for her.
Addison's heart sank, "Oh no..."
Her eyes darted around the panel of buttons and she noticed a small microphone with a green button next to it.
She held down the green button and spoke into the microphone, "Hello? Someone, anyone, if you can hear me I've been kidnapped by Illuminate, please help-"
"What are you doing?" A grim voice from behind her growled.
She gasped and let go of the button. She spun around and saw Illuminate, his hands on his hips. Addison swallowed hard. She didn't say a word.
"No one will ever find you." He said, "No one has been able to find me for years!"
Addison barely noticed that the lights on his gloves were gone and replaced by red, crackling electricity that sparked off his fingertips.
Illuminate followed her gaze to his hands and he laughed. He walked closer to Addison and extended his arms. Addison couldn't run from this monster, there was no escape. Illuminate grabbed her wrist and the electricity touched her skin.
Addison let out a gasp in agony as the red sparks sizzled on her skin. Tears built up in her eyes, the electricity surged up her arms. Illuminate let go and chuckled in pleasure.
Addison gasped and looked at her wrists, a small 'I' was branded on each of her wrists. She could still feel the electric pulse in her arms and could feel the tears escape her eyes. Illuminate was a true monster.
