Addison smiled as she stepped into the familiar spaceship. She was never happier. She turned around to face her friends.
"Thank you so so much." She said with a large grin on her face.
Andrew stepped forwards, "It was nothing."
Addison shook her head, she highly disagreed, "It was not just nothing! You guys came all this way to save me! I've never been so grateful. I never really even thought anyone would do such a thing for me!"
"Addison, you're an Outcast! We don't leave anyone behind." Rocco said, his arms were folded and he leaned against the wall.
Addison smiled at him, "Thank you."
Candaler approached Addison from the cockpit and put his arm around her, "You are one brave kid."
Addison looked up at him, "No..." she thought back to her crying in the corner of the room in Illuminate's lair. She shook her head and smiled at Candaler.
He smiled back at patted her on the back before returning to his seat in the cockpit.
The spaceship took off into space again and Addison smiled as she stared out the window off into the black world of the universe. It was beautiful. A million stars twinkled around them as they slowly drifted away for their next adventure.
Addison walked over to Andrew, "So where are we headed now?"
Andrew froze, he looked awkwardly at her, he then smiled, "You'll see." He simply responded.
Addison smiled, "A surprise?"
Andrew slowly nodded, "Uh, ya..."
Addison eyed him suspiciously, seeing how uncomfortable he felt, "Is something wrong?" She asked him.
Andrew perked up, "What? Oh, no. It's just Illuminate, ya know. Spooky..." He laughed nervously.
Addison sighed, "You aren't very good at hiding your feelings, ya know?" She nudged him on the shoulder.
Andrew frowned and rocked back up his heels, "It really is nothing, I just have anxiety, okay?"
Addison frowned, she wasn't fully satisfied but she nodded and left him alone. She didn't want to be to nosy.
Suddenly Grimm stopped Addison by grabbing her by the shoulder, "Hey!" She called.
Addison faced Grimm, "Ya?"
"You know I want to get to know you better, you know like your backstory!" Grimm smiled, adjusting her white skirt.
Addison smiled back at the giddy girl, "Okay. I guess. Come sit down, it's complicated."
Grimm smiled and they both sat down on the floor, leaning against the wall. Grimm scooted closer to Addison, "So? Where were you born?"
Addison shrugged, "I don't know the exact location, all I know is my mom had me while my father was still around. When they actually loved each other. When I was about seven he left and we went and lived with my grandparents."
Grimm looked into Addison's eyes with full interest, "Continue." She said.
"Well my mother found a new guy that she adored and they got married and had my younger brother together." Addison paused suddenly and thought for awhile before turning back to Grimm, "Then one day we woke up at my stepdad was just gone. He left us in the middle of the night with no warning and we don't know what happened to him."
Grimm nodded, "That's mysterious."
Addison nodded, "Ya... it is." She sighed.
"Any more?" Grimm asked.
Addison nodded, "It gets worse. My mother left us for the day with my grandparents a year later one day, and she never returned... never to be seen again." Addison looked down at her hands and played with her fingers, "My grandparents then were found dead when my sister had finally turned eighteen and we were left to live with my sister."
Grimm gasped, "That really is complicated. I don't know what to say, it's just... sad."
Addison nodded, "It is but it's alright it was a long time ago."
Grimm leaned closer to Addison and gave her a quick hug before standing up and helping Addison up also.
About an hour later the ship began to slow. Candaler stepped out of the cockpit and entered the back with everyone else, "We're here."
Addison grinned and quickly ran to the cockpit to go look out the window to see their destination but when she arrived she found that they were drifting towards Earth. Addison looked over her shoulder at everyone, "What are we doing here?"
Everyone eyed Addison. They all had the same awkward expression on their faces. Addison's eyes darted to Rocco, then to Danez and finally Andrew.
He swallowed hard and stepped forward, "Addison..." He paused, "We must return you."
"What?!" Addison straightened herself and stepped closer to Andrew, "W-why?!" Her eyes darted to everyone, they all were silent. She looked back at Andrew, "Explain!"
Andrew hesitated, "Well. Um, now that Illuminate knows you're with us and knows we love you he will try and hunt you down to get revenge. We're keeping you safe, Addison."
Addison shook her head, "No! I'm not going back to that hellish place! There must be another way, please!" Tears were building up in her eyes, she wiped them away with one hand.
"There isn't, I'm so so sorry." Andrew said looking down at his feet. I small tear streamed down his cheek, "I don't want you to leave either."
Addison was speechless, she felt betrayed. The time she actually had friends, the time she actually felt like she could trust people they decided to just abandon her! She couldn't take it.
"Please." She begged one last time.
"Addison, stop. It's final. We can't keep you, it's to dangerous. I'm sorry." Candaler said.
Addison spun around and faced him, "What do you know! You don't know my feelings! You don't even care! I know! I can tell! You haven't known as long, just stay out of this!" She yelled, clenching her fists.
Candaler was speechless. He looked at her and then at the floor. Addison looked at everyone. They all were silent, they all were sad. Danez's eyes shimmered with tears, he tried to hide his face by looking down and Rocco was leaning with his arms folding against the wall, looking disappointed at Addison. Grimm eyed her with sorrow and Andrew was wiping his face.
"We're all sorry, I promise." Andrew finally said.
