Addison's head spun. Her body was weightless and she felt as if she'd pass out. She was no longer on the spaceship that was for sure. She was plunged into darkness, she couldn't see anything. Illuminate still held onto her tightly. She felt as if they were moving; moving so fast.
Not long after she felt her feet plant onto solid ground. Addison wanted to topple over and pass out but Illuminate's grip was very tight.
They'd entered into a dark, long triangular hallway that would flash different colors over each minute.
Addison's head pounded and she wanted to just lay on the ground and sleep but Illuminate's wouldn't let her. He tugged on her arm he was obviously human, she could feel his body heat. He was just in a black suit with lights on it, his minions on the other hand were robots. As Illuminate pulled her down the hallway they passed a few of them, each of them looking identical, except for the one Addison saw during the dance battle but she hadn't seen him since.
Addison's heart pounded as Illuminate dragged her along. She didn't dare struggle, for she was afraid of the consequences.
Where was he taking her and what did he have planned for her once he got her there? Addison really didn't want to know.
After a long while of being dragged along the corridor, Illuminate had finally stopped. There was one single door to their left, it was just by its self. Illuminate opened it a threw Addison inside before slamming it shut without a word. She heard a small click, signifying that it was locked.
The room was dark, the room was cold. The ground was smooth and hard like marble. Addison was terrified. She couldn't see anything and she had no idea was was going to happen next. She curled up into a small ball and cried on the floor.
She cried for what felt like hours until she ran out of teats and only managed to let out sobs. She sat up and rubbed her eyes.
Is this how it's going to end? Addison thought to herself. Will I never see Charlotte or Wyatt again? She had to admit she almost did miss them a tiny bit, especially Wyatt.
It had finally occurred to her that Charlotte hadn't seen her leave and didn't know anything. She grasped her head. What was Charlotte thinking?! What would she do if she saw poor Addison in this state?
"Why me?!" Addison yelled to herself in the dark and empty room.
She covered her red and puffy face with her hands and sobbed to herself, only thinking of her dark fate.
Suddenly a bright white light flickered and Addison could hear the buzzing of electricity. She uncovered her face to see the room had been lighted up. Large rectangular lights hummed above her, slowly swaying. The obviously were not screwed in tightly enough.
The room she was in was quite small. It was a little square, about the size of a small bedroom. The floor was a shiny metal, the walls, ceiling and the door were made of the same material. There was nothing in the room accept for little nuts and bolts scattered across the floor, at least what Addison could see.
Addison slowly and shakely stood up and turned around. To her horror she saw a large heap of metal and scraps piled in one big heap close to the door. You may think it wasn't to horrifying but it was the remains of what seemed to be rejected robots Illuminate was creating.
Metal exoskeletons were piled on top of each other. Arms and heads lay at the bottom. It was quite scary, they looked dead and sad but Addison knew they couldn't have feelings, right?
A shudder ran down Addison's spine and she took a step back and swallowed hard. It was truly a horrifying sight. She quickly looked away and frowned.
Addison didn't know how long she was in that room but it felt like days, even though it probably was only a few hours. She sat in the corner of the room, trying to find a way she could escape but there seemed to be no way out. There were no windows and the door had no handle on that side. She sighed and pulled her knees towards her face, she laid her head on her knees.
She pondered for a few minutes until a genius idea popped into her head. She lifted her head quickly and stood up and ran to the outline of the door and leaned her ear to it.
She could hear footsteps passing by it. It was bound to be one of the hundreds of minions Illuminate seemed to have. This is where her idea came in.
"Hello?" She called out, her face pressed up against the door, "Can anyone hear me?"
She heard the footsteps stop and come closer to the door and stop. Her heart quickly rose.
"Yes?" Came a robotic voice from the other side.
A grin spread across Addison's face and she cleared her throat.
"Excuse me, but can you please let me out?" She asked, trying to sound as innocent as possible.
There was a long silence until the bot responded, "I don't think so. Master will not approve."
Addison paused and sighed, "But I really need to use the restroom."
"What?" The robot hummed from the other side, it sounded very confused.
"You wouldn't understand, it's a human thing." Addison said trying to hide her laugh.
There was another long silence until the bot responded, "I understand," it replied awkwardly.
"You really wouldn't want to clean up the mess." Addison responded, still sounding innocent and sad.
This time the robot quickly answered, "Yes! Of course, I shall escort you, but you mustn't tell Master."
Addison smirked and straightened herself as she heard the bot struggle to open the door. It soon swung open. Addison then noticed that the robot was the unique one she had seen during the dance battle in the middle. She smiled at him. It was hard to stay focused on him when he didn't have eyes nor a nose and the giant 'I' that replaced them was quite distracting.
"My name is I." Said the bot with a frown.
"I? Hmm, that's unique." Addison said glancing around behind him, "Well sorry I, but this is for my own good."
Before I could answer Addison grabbed him by the arms and swung him around and shoved him into the room. When she grabbed him she felt a pulse of energy serge up her arms that tingled. She quickly slammed the door behind her.
"Wait! You can't do that!" I screamed on the inside.
Addison didn't answer, she glanced down at her palms and flexed her fingers. The energy was like nothing she had felt before. In the dimly lit hallway she noticed something on her palms. It was a light red lining like lightning that had scarred her hands. She blinked a few times and looked down again and the mark had seemed to have faded away.
Addison shook her head and turned down the hallway. She had to escape, she didn't know how but she was determined to, she would do whatever it takes.
