Jella: The Truth

(Jesse x Stella) 

Jesse folded his arms as he looked around Stella's treasure room with Petra, who walked beside him. The cool feeling of the gauntlet that touched his skin made shivers go up his spine.

The two had sneaked into her treasure room, which was to say, very disappointing, to look for Petra's sword, Miss Butter.

"No-! Where'd it go? Where'd she put it?" Petra exclaimed, running toward an item stand that had no item above it.

Jesse ran up to her, seeing an angry look on her face.

"You're sure it was here?" He asked, gesturing to the empty stand as she nodded.

"Ha! A-ha!" A voice cried, a little further in the distance.

Jesse's and Petra's eyes widened as they saw Stella walking backwards into the room, backs facing them.

"Shh. Check it out." Said Jesse, smirking a bit and then motioning to a hiding spot behind some of the stands.

They hid, as Stella advanced further into the room.

"That's right! It's Petra, armed with her mighty sword Miss Butter! Ha!" Stella said, holding Petra's enchanted golden sword in her hand. Jesse had to cover his mouth with his hand to prevent himself from laughing.

Stella began to do some fighting moves and stances.

"This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen," Jesse chuckled.

"And by her side is her best friend, the greatest hero in the world, Jesse!" She held the sword up high. Jesse looked at Petra as she shrugged. "Together, they can take on-uhh...Hi! Hello."

Stella had spotted Jesse and Petra as they walked out from behind the stands. She dropped the sword, which clattered to the floor.

"Uh, you! You should not be here!" Stella cried, pointing, her cheeks red with embarrassment. "This...this is, um...this is incredibly awkward."

Jesse put his hands on his hips.

"Having a fun time Stella? Lil' but of pretend? Bet all your people out there would LOVE to hear about this." Jesse smirked.

"Oh please no. No, no, no." Stella's face went into panic, and then a little bit of anger. "You can have your dumb sword back..."

She said, realizing that she had already lost.

Jesse smiled as Petra went to pick up Miss Butter.

"Let's just pretend this whole thing never happened and I will let you go."

Petra shrugged and Jesse rolled his eyes. They glared at each other before heading to the exit.

"Wait! Jesse!" Stella exclaimed, sighing. "Can I-? Can I talk to you for a minute?"

Jesse gave a confused look as Petra clutched her sword.

"I don't trust her Jesse," she whispered in his ear.

"It's fine Petra, she probably doesn't know how to fight anyway." He said, walking over to her. "I'll meet you back at the entrance."

Petra gave him a worried glance and hesitated, but left the room, sword in her hands.

Stella gave a glance to make sure Petra was gone and then sighed again.

"Look, Jesse?" She said. "I'm sorry okay? That...that wasn't cool."

"Yeah, it wasn't." He replied, placing his hands on his hips. She sighed.

"Look, the truth is...the truth..."

"I'm listening."

"I like you Jesse." She said as his eyes widened, surprised. "I've always have. I've always admired you, and the Order. I only did mean things because...because I felt that I wasn't enough. You have everything, but maybe if I tried hard enough you would see me...

"You defeated the Witherstorm, and you've survived and been on so many adventures...I wanted to be like you...be with you."

Jesse put a hand on her shoulder, gaze softening.

"Stella, why didn't you just tell me?" He asked, and then embraced her in a hug. She gasped, and then hugged him back, blushing.

They let go, and Jesse looked towards the exit.

"I have to go Stella, but I promise ill see you later...rival." Jesse winked at her as the girl smirked.

"Jerk."

"Show-off."

"Jesse."

"Stella."

The two laughed.

Stella watched as he left, smiling. It may not be a lot, but it was a start.

Dis is crap but ah well posting anyway 🙃
