TW: spiders.
John
There was an ear-piercing scream from the bathroom.
My heart stopped in my chest as I leapt up from the bed and sprinted towards the bathroom. I flung the door open.
Alex was cowering in the corner, wearing nothing but a towel, saying scared gibberish as he stared in horror at the bathtub.
There was a large spider in the center, crawling around like the little demon bitch that it was.
"I-It c-c-came out of nowhere," Alex stuttered, eyes never leaving the tub. "I-It fell from the goddamn ceiling and scared the living shit out of me."
"Stay there, baby girl," I said, then ran and got a plastic solo cup and a piece of paper. I carefully scooped up the spider into the cup and held it in there with the paper, then ran out of the dorm, down the stairs, and out the building and threw the cup onto the grass, then went back inside.
Alex had calmed down, and was now chuckling silently to himself. "Sweet Jesus," he laughed. "I hate spiders with a burning passion. They are demons with two extra legs."
"That they are," I said, giggling. I kissed his forehead and pushed the hair out of his face. "Now take your bath, baby. Let me know if you need anything, okay? I love you."
"I love you too," he said softly. "I'll be okay."

Once Alex had gotten out of the tub (you can understand why he wouldn't want to take a shower), we laid down on the bed and cuddled, his head on my chest and his hands tangled in my hair. He didn't have a shirt on because I hadn't had the chance to do laundry yet, so his skin was pressing up against mine. His warmth radiated off of him in waves.
"Lirio's cool," he said absentmindedly.
"Who?" I asked.
"Lirio, from the movie The Craft. She owns the metaphysical shop that the coven goes to all the time. She's the one who convinces Sarah to call the corners in the end to whoop Nancy's ass."
"Babe, I've never seen The Craft."
He looked over at me in alarm. "You haven't?"
I shook my head. "Nope."
"We're watching it tomorrow," he said. "You'll love it. It's one of my favorite movies of all time."
He buried his face in my chest and breathed in deeply. "God, you smell so good," he whispered. "I love you, you know that, right? I'll always love you, no matter what happens."
"I love you too," I breathed, running my hands through his now dry hair. I pulled him closer to me. "Don't leave me. Please."
"I wouldn't dream of it."
