Crunch Time

It was one of those days.

Dei has been having the worst day of the month (as always!) and she just wants to curl up in bed all day. She feels like all of her body parts aren't functioning well, maybe except her daym uterus that has been working extra hard today.

It's a good thing it is a Saturday today and she has no school work to do. She never got out of bed since she woke up. She haven't check the time yet, even her cellphone! She wonders what Jay is doing now. She's too pained to check her phone. She closes her eyes as she felt a wave of pain on her abdomen. Ugh!

Maybe she dozed off for a while because she woke up with Jay calling her name and caressing her hair.

Hey, babe. I'm so worried you're not answering my calls and texts. Are you okay? Asks Jay, worry evident on his eyes.

No. Sakit, babe. And I cried softly when another wave of pain hits.

Don't cry na, babe. Is there anything you need? Meds? Hot compress? Tell me and I'll get it for you. Natatarantang sagot nito sa kanya.

If she doesn't feel sick right now she might have teased him why he's so knowledgeable with the situation. But because dysmenorrhea is a bitch, she just reached for his arm and cuddle it.

I just want you here. Thank you for coming. And she continues to nuzzle her face in his arm.

Babe...

She opens her eyes and saw his eyes. She blushed when she recognizes love in those lovely orbs. She let go of his arm and made a space on her bed and tap it, signaling him to lay beside her.

She can see his ears going red. He hesitates for a while but indulges her not a minute longer.

She lay down her head on his arm and embraced him. Feeling contented, she closed her eyes and snuggled closer.

She smiled when she felt Jay kissing her head. Oh how she loves him so much!

Dei... Jay calls me softly.

Hmm...  Ang sarap yakapin ni Jay.  Dito na lang ako forevs.

Narinig ko siyang tumawa.  I raised my head and looked at him.  He looked at me intently.  

Okay ka lang ba? Do you need to take meds? Massage? He asks.

I smiled at him and caressed his cheek.  Kaya ko naman eh.  I don't wanna be dependent on meds kasi.  And I somehow feel better now that you're here with me.  Thanks, babe.

Always naman ako nandito para sa'yo eh. I know you are very independent kahit dati pa na magbest friends pa lang tayo. But now that we are lovers, let me take care of you okay? Kahit ano pa yan, kahit monthly period mo pa, tell me especially if you're hurting. I want to take care of you, babe. Please?

She got tears on her eyes while he was saying those words. She feels very lucky to have Jay as a best friend and now her boyfriend. His thoughtfulness amazes her everytime.

Dei held Jay's face between her hands and looks straight at his eyes.

I was blessed that it's you that I've fallen in love with. My best friend, my one and only love. Thank you for being here always, babe. I can't promise you that I'll always follow you kasi nga pasaway ako. Natawa kami pareho sa sinabi ko.  But I will try.  For you.  For us. 

And she kissed him on the lips.  Slow at first, just letting him know how she really feels.  He was a bit shocked at first but sooner he took over the kiss.  He angled his lips to fully cover mine and deepened the kiss. 

He was coaxing my lips to open and succeeded.  She can feel herself shiver when his tongue touched hers.  They stayed lip locked for a while until they both needed air to breathe.

Pareho lang kaming nakatingin sa isa't isa, both breathing heavily after that kiss.  She can feel her face blush because of his intense stare.  She stared at his lips and absentmindedly bit her lower lip.

Tangina.  Was all he said before diving in for another deep kiss.
