(Liam's POV)

My date with Ali roughly two weeks ago went perfect and led us to several more. Since then, we have gone on a dinner date, a mini-golf outing, and watched movies at her place. To start off each of our dates correctly, I give her new flowers. She seems to love them, and I love seeing her happy.

Aside from our few dates, she still continues to come by Dooley's as often as her schedule permits.

When I'm at work, my day gets a hundred times better merely by the sound of Ali's heels clicking through the doorway.

Usually she pops by later in the night to hangout and talk, but tonight she came in rather early - two o'clock.

"Hey, Liam," she greeted with a warm smile on her face as she sat on the open barstool in front of me.

"Hey, Ali, what brings you in so early?" I handed her over a glass of ice water.

"I have to go to headquarters today and I won't be home until midnight - I'll probably be exhausted, so I came by to visit early." She explained.

"What do you have to do at headquarters?"

Ali groaned and rolled her eyes. "Stupid stuff my employees should've been able to handle on their own."

Business is always something I've been interested in myself. I like hearing Ali talk about her business, but I am somewhat jealous that I didn't get my dream come true, like she did.

"You'd think with the forthright, step-by-step instructions I've given to them, it'd be impossible to mess the deal up, yet they managed." She continued.

"You live a rough life." I teased. Her stressed and annoyed look disappeared, and she grinned at me sheepishly.

"I wish I could stay for longer, but I think I should head out."

"See you later."

Ali leaned over the counter and I met her halfway to kiss her on her perfectly, well-rounded lips.

"No PDA in the bar." Taylor grumbled from behind me. We put little space between us as I groaned with annoyance and Ali giggled.

"Oh yeah!" She exclaimed after we put more space between the two of us. "Would you maybe want to come to my family dinner on Sunday at my sister's house?"

I rose my eyebrow tentatively. "Family dinner?"

"Brooklyn already said you can come if you want to. Everyone wants to meet you." She reached over the counter and grabbed my hand while looking at me with pleading, puppy dog eyes that made it damn near impossible to say no to.

"Fine, what time?"

She beamed at me. "Dinner's at six, come over to my house at five-ish!"

"Okay." I said more softly this time.

These past two weeks I've realized just how amazing of a person she really is. She has this childlike innocence in her, yet she has an understanding for the real world like no one else I've ever known.

"Don't look, Taylor." With that, Ali leaned over and pecked my lips once more before making a beeline out there and shouting a goodbye over her shoulder.

Taylor's laughter snapped me out of my trance that was stuck on admiring everything about her. I turned around and he patted my shoulder.

"It's been two weeks, and you're already whipped."

"Shut the hell up, I am not." I rolled my eyes and dumped out the glass of water Ali was drinking only minutes ago. "So what? I like her. What's the big deal?"
