(Liam's POV)
Time jump: June 11th
Roughly a month ago I did something I never thought I'd do, or at least something I thought Taylor would beat me to.
I moved out.
I now lived under the same roof as Ali, and Sam. However, Sam was hardly around - dealing with her soccer team, Alex, work, and whatever else she does with her time.
Since I was living under their roof, rent free, I continued to help pay rent and bills at the apartment that now solely belonged to Taylor. For the first time in about eight years, I wasn't sharing a house with my best friend since the age of eight.
It took some getting used to at first, not going to lie.
Tonight was a whole different matter than moving out of my apartment that I've shared with my best friend for eight years, to live with my girlfriend.
Tonight is the night I'd popped THE question.
Despite the fact I had not even known Ali for a year, I felt like she knew me better than anyone. I love her more than I ever imagined to be possible. Even if we don't get married for a year, or even longer, I wanted to ask her today.
My goal by the end of the night is to be able to call Alexandria Dickson my fiancée.

Fancy clothing and dinners were not my style, proven fact. But Ali loved the idea of getting dressed up and looking nice. That's why I arranged this.
Over the course of the past few months, I have met Ali's parents. Yes, that required her dragging me onto yet another plane ride that was even longer than the one to Ohio.
To my utter surprise, they took an immediate liking towards me.
Her dad was a businessman before he retired, like my goal had always been. When he found out about my interest in business, he immediately began talking about everything he's overcome and accomplished.
It only made me want to become a businessman even more. At this point, though, I had deemed it impossible.
A little less than month ago, I paid Zach a visit to ask how he would feel about me marrying his sister. His simple reply was that he couldn't wait to have me as part of the family.
I proceeded to ask each of Ali's siblings the same question, earning similar replies from each of them.
Eventually the time had come to ask for permission from Ali's parents. I'd arranged a FaceTime call with them while Ali was away at headquarters and I was sure she wouldn't make a surprise appearance.
I'd asked them if they'd grant me the permission to marry their youngest daughter, and they agreed. They brought up how maybe it was too early for marriage, but I politely argued. I didn't plan on getting married any time soon, unless that's what Ali wanted, and if it was, who cares? I love her and she loves me, why waste time? Mrs. Dickson had agreed with me full-heartedly on that one. Mr. Dickson, on the other hand, had seemed a little more hesitant, but still agreed nonetheless.
I wouldn't fail to prove myself to them by being the best man I could possibly be
They'd gone on to ask about my proposal plans. I gave them the two ideas I was deciding between and they helped me narrow it down to one - the dinner one.
All uncertainties aside, they had both insisted that they pay for all of the dinner expenses. All I had to focus on was the ring and making Ali happy.
