(Lexi's POV)

I'd been waiting at Dooley's for an hour with Taylor, both of us waiting to hear from Liam. However, it was getting late and I knew I shouldn't stay out much longer.

As much as I craved to hear Liam's voice tonight, it'd just have to wait until tomorrow.

"Goodnight, Taylor. I will see you later." I smiled softly.

Given the fact I've been avoiding Liam like the plague, I haven't been by Dooley's in forever - it was his turf, not mine. I missed it. The fact it was on the wrong side of town meant nothing to me because I've met some great people here, like Taylor, Wes, and Liam. My superman.

I love him so much that it's becoming alarming. I miss him more than I ever would have imagined. I crave his presence like a pregnant woman craves crazy foods. I'm addicted to him in every way possible.

I'd only made it a block down the road when I realized my car was driving extremely funkily.

I pulled over into the parking lot of a junky looking bowling alley, ignoring the sketchiness of the whole scene, and got out to inspect my car. Surely enough, there was a slit through my tire that I can't believe I didn't even notice before.

Most likely because I was too caught up in my thoughts about Liam.

I pulled out my phone and started scrolling through my contacts to find Taylor's name. He's the only one I knew would be up at this hour and the closest nearby.

But presence in front of me made me pause.

I started shaking as I hesitantly looked up to meet the cold grey eyes of the middle aged man that had been following me around the grocery store that one night with Liam.

He's been stalking me.

He slashed my tires.

I pressed Taylor's contact, but before I could actually call him, my phone was flung out of my hand and across the parking lot.

The next best thing I had was my voice.

At the top of my lungs, I screamed, "Help!"

Gray Eyes's evil eyes turned sinister as they narrowed at my attempt to gain someone's attention. Before I could try again, he slapped his dirty over my mouth.

I tried to run, like I should've done in the first place, but my back was slammed against my car door, trapping me in his hold.

Oh my God.

This is where it ends.

Unable to accept my fate, I didn't give up there.

I used my perfectly straight and clean teeth to bite his wretched finger. He pulled away, just as I planned, to complain about the pain I inflicted on him.

Oh, boo-hoo. You're the people-napper here.

"Help! Help!" I screamed, struggling underneath his harsh hold.

He was quick to cover my mouth again with a menacing glare set on his face as if daring me to try something again.

And I'm all for a dare.
