(Lexi's POV)

Liam insisted I don't wait up for him to go to Marilyn's wedding shower. He had decided to go to work up until 4:30, then he'd come over to Brooklyn's for the shower that started at 4.

I didn't mind though; the guy has to work.

For the wedding shower, I settled with wearing a magenta sweater with a black, high-waisted skirt, and black nylons underneath in attempt to save my bare skin from the cold air of Chicago as winter approached. My hair was left in its natural curls, per usual.

At the sound of Sam rushing me to get downstairs so we could leave, I pulled on my dark brown boots and approved of my reflection

At the sound of Sam rushing me to get downstairs so we could leave, I pulled on my dark brown boots and approved of my reflection.

I trotted down the steps and ran my fingers through my slightly tangly hair in the process.

The biggest struggle of naturally curly hair means comb it at your own risk.

My wide-toothed comb can only do so much.

"How do I look?" I reached the bottom stop and did a twirl for Sam.

"Shit, that's cute." She approved. "Did you just by that last weekend?"

I nodded in confirmation, plucking my keys off the key rack in the kitchen. "I'm driving."

When the snow falls, I avoid driving at all costs because, after Joey and Zach got in a huge accident back when they were in high school, driving in snow terrifies me.

May as well get the last of my driving in before the season approaches us.

Sam was wearing a teal sweater that fell off her shoulder with black leggings and tan, knee high boots. The outfit was simple, but fitting for her personality. As usual, her naturally straight blonde hair was left to cascade down her back.

"Where'd you get that sweater?" I asked as we got in my car and Sam pressed the button to open the garage door

"Miraculously found it in the depths of my closet. Can't believe I never wore it before today; it's so damn comfy."
