disclaimer: I am no fashion fanatic; I know little to nothing about fashion week and how it's ran. I did some research to get a well understanding of how it may play out. Please, if you're a huge fashion fan and know this is not how it goes down, keep it to yourself, for this is just a wattpad story.

(Lexi's POV)

Fashion week, in the eyes of many fashion fanatics, is the most amazing week ever. All the fantastic designs from several different famous designers - who wouldn't love watching it via TV? I know I did.

Now, I am one of those famous designers and I can first handedly say that fashion week is far from fun. I prefer the term hell week.

My New York Lexi's branch is going to be closed until Wednesday because my design team is on binge-sew mode for all of my dresses.

I only brought five dresses to this year's fashion week, compared to last year when I brought 23 full outfits. This year, it just snuck up on me and I was no where near prepared for it. Hell, I had just sewn 2 of the five dresses in the beginning of last week.

"Hello?" I murmured into the phone as I looked at the dress on my model, Gigi Hadid. Hiring her was my main focus prior to this week because she has one of the most famous models out there.

My other two models were fairly unknown from Chicago, but they were equally gorgeous and did their job perfectly.

"Shipments are in of your designs from the New York branch." Holly informed me on the other end of the phone that was tucked between my ear and my shoulder as I intently watched my personal tailor perform some last minute adjustments to the black dress to fit Gigi's body perfectly.

"Okay, thanks for letting me know."

Holly knew I was nervous the shipment from my store wouldn't be in in time for Gigi to go on, so she did me a solid and called to inform me they were all in.

"Okay... you look perfect. Thank you, Gigi." I said, shoving my phone into my clutch purse that only fit my phone and credit card. Gigi returned the smile and strutted off to behind the curtains, staring off into the crowd where several fashion critics, designers, and buyers sat.

"Ready?" Brooke appeared behind me. I gave her an uneasy smile and we met Holly at our reserved front row seats.

I only have one dress being modeled off today, two on Saturday, one on Tuesday, and one on Thursday.

Saturday is always the hardest day to get spots for because it's the busiest day of the whole week, it's usually when the big spenders come in. That's why it was important I showcased the two dresses I was most confident in.

The days I was not having any designs modeled off were almost as intense as the days that I was, don't be fooled.

I spent my "days off" participating in several interviews, and other advertising opportunities, or doing last minute adjustments to the planned dresses.

Last year, the model that I hired had gone through a quarter life crisis and decided to cut her hair before she went on the runway to showcase my design. My hair team had to find a whole new hairstyle that rolled with her outfit only 45 minutes before she was scheduled to walk the runway.
It was a complete and utter disaster.

I was distracted from my thoughts as an attractive man in a dark grey Burberry suit took his seat next to me and readjusted his suit as he did so.

Hot damn.

The man caught me staring and looked up at me with a teasing smile etching it's way onto his face.

I recognized him then - Brody Hudson, one of the most well-known male fashion designers. Make that one of the hottest male fashion designers.
