~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Two lines mean positive, right?" "No you idiot, two lines means negative." "Are you sure?" "Yes I'm sure." "Y/N , are you absolutely sure?" "Kelsey, Check the box if you're so skeptical." "...ok fine you were right." "I told you."
   Me and Kelsey (random name) are currently sitting on my bathroom floor waiting for the pregnancy test I just took. And as you probably already guessed, yes. I am checking to see if I'm pregnant. Ethan and I had both gotten drunk a few weeks ago, leading to some...activities. Which we did unprotected. "So if you are...you know. Are you going to keep it?" Kelsey sits on the side of my bathtub. "Well...yeah. Even if it wasn't planned it's still a little human. And besides, Ethan will be so excited about it." I say the last sentence knowing it was a complete lie. Ethan was only 19 and had an entire career ahead of him. Of course I was worried he wouldn't want to keep it.
  My thoughts are interrupted by the timer on my phone going off, meaning it was time to check the test. "You look at." "What? It's your potential baby you look at it!" "Kelsey just look at the stupid stick!" She takes the test of the counter and gives me a frustrated look. The pregnancy test stays facing down considering neither of us are really ready to see the answer on the other side. "Ok, I'm going to flip it over on 3. 1,2,...3" Kelsey flips over the test and  both our eyes immediately shoot down towards the hand she holds the stick in. "Oh my go--" "I'm pregnant." I say a wave of excitement and fear run through me. Ethan and I haven't even talked about getting married, yet alone moving in together. And now I'm carrying our child.
"Kels, what do i do?" I say standing up and rubbing my hand on my forehead. "Well...well you have to tell Ethan. And before I could even respond, a knock on the door comes from downstairs. "Y/N, you have to tell him. I'll call you later." We walk downstairs towards the door. I open the door and there stand my boyfriend, and soon to be father of my child. "Hey baby. Hi Kelsey, what's going on?" "Um...I was actually just leaving. Wish I could stay but you know...I left my turtle at home without food so I gotta get home see ya later." Kelsey slips out the door but not before giving me a stern yet sympathetic look. "I didn't know Kelsey got a turtle." Ethan says walking toward my couch. I only laugh my brain clouded with how I'm going to tell Ethan about the baby. "You wanna get take out?" Ethan says taking my hand gently and leading me to the couch. It's now or never. "E, I really need to tell you something." I look down making Ethan notice how nervous I am. "Hey, you can tell me anything." Ethan cups my cheeks with both his hands and kisses my forehead. Just do it.
"Ethan I'm pregnant." He looks at me shocked and then pulls his hands away from my face. Not a good sign. "That's um...that's a big something." He scratched the back of his neck and starts pacing around the living room. "A-are you mad?" I walk up behind him and wrap my arms around his waist. He quickly pulls away from me and turns around. "N-no I just um I think I should go." He says not making eye contact with me and already heading towards the door. "Ethan come on please just talk to me. I'm scared and I--" before I can continue, he's already out the door. I couldn't help but let a tear fall from my eye. That did not work like it did in my head. Not even close.
Two weeks later
Two weeks later and I still haven't heard anything from Ethan. After he left, I decided it was best to let him figure things out on his own and he would call me when he's ready. But I expected it to take a day or two not two weeks! Yes, it made me nervous but I knew Ethan loved me and wouldn't just abandon me like that. Especially with a baby.
