"Get up! Get up! Get up!" I sit up to see my little brother Jack, (sorry if you don't have a little brother. I feel you) hitting me with his plastic baseball bat. Here's some advice. Don't have a little brother. "I'm up now get out of my room!" I shout throwing my pillow at him. Jack runs out of the room, queuing me to start getting ready for school. I jump out of bed and put (outfit above) I quickly do my bathroom stuff before walking into the kitchen. "Hey sweetie I think y/b/f/f/n waiting outside." My Mom say packing jacks lunch. "Okay I'll see you later." I kiss her on the cheek and head outside to see my best friend waiting in her her car. "Hey you ready?" She says as I get into the car. I roll my eyes while putting my seatbelt on. "I'm never ready to go to Mr. hurlers math class." With that, we drive to the one and only hell. Just kidding. It's school. But really there isn't much of a difference.
We arrive at school and head our separate directions to our lockers. Just as I pull out my world history text book, I hear the loud laugh of none other then, Grayson Dolan. AKA, the school flirt. Grayson Dolan would flirt with any girl, even if he had the slightest idea who she was. She could be Ronald McDonald for all he knows, and he would still send a wink her way or ask for her number with zero intentions of ever calling her. And the worst part about Grayson bailey Dolan, I was a daily target for him. Every day he would come up to me with a new pick up line, or on some occasions a piece of paper with his number on it. I had about 10 of those papers stacked up in my locker. The worst part of this all, he's kind of starting to grow on me.
I close my locker and the first thing I see is Grayson's smirking face, leaning against the locker next to mine. I let out a small gasp, making Grayson's smirk even wider. "Well good morning miss Y/N." he says moving slightly closer towards me. His hazel eyes stare right into mine and my stomach starts to explode with butterflies. But I could never tell Grayson that. Or anyone for that matter. I move my hair to the other side and take a step away from Grayson. "Hello Grayson." I say slightly annoyed. The five minute bell rings and I take it as my excuse to exit the conversation. "Bye Grayson." I say pretending to be disappointed. As I start to walk around him he quickly grabs my arm. "Wait!" He pulls me back so I am standing face to face with him. "How about I take you on a date? This Saturday." He says with a small smile on his face.
As much as I wanted to say yes, I knew he'd ask the same thing to a new girl next week. And I'm already into Grayson more then I had ever planned on being. "Thank, but, no thanks Grayson." I start to walk away quicker this time so he couldn't pull me back again. I hear Grayson let out a frustrated sigh while he runs up to catch up with me. "Do you not get it?" Grayson asks slightly shaking his head. When I don't respond he continues. "I like you. Like, really like you. And it's driving me crazy that I can't get you to notice me. Please just one date." I look up at him, unable to make words come out of my mouth. "Please say something." Grayson bites his lower lip. "Grayson I--I , you flirt with every girl you see, I feel like your just trying to find a way to cross me of your list or something." I say crossing my arms insecurely.
"I only-- you just-- ugh!" Grayson lets out a frustrated groan before grabbing my face and kissing me. His left hand slides down to my hip as I feel him smile into the kiss. I pull away after a few second to catch my breathe. Grayson's hand stays on my hip and I feel him smiling. He grabs my chin to make me look at him. "The only reason I flirt with other girls around you is so that I can get your attention. And it seems like I have, just not in the right way." Grayson moves a piece of hair behind my ear. "I-I don't get it." I say looking up at him. " Y/N, I've liked you from the moment I watched you walk through the door freshman year and nothing had changed since then. And I know I talk to other girls more than I should but I promise. You're the only one I want." Grayson looks at me hopeful as I try to contain the fireworks going of in my stomach. Instead of answering, I kiss Grayson wrapping my arms around his neck. He grabs my waist, spinning me as we end the kiss. As Grayson is about to say something else, the one minute bell rings. "You'll pick me up, 8:00, Saturday night. I'll text you the address." I say walking away towards my classroom. "I can't wait." Grayson shouts back. I walk into class with a smile on my face. And that smile remained there all day
